The National Institute of Bank Management, Pune was established in the year 1969 by the Reserve Bank of India, in consultation with the Govt. Of India. The institute offers a 2 year flagship PGDM in BFSI. The college conducts about 150 training programs in various functional areas. Every year over 3500 participants, including about 250 from various developing nations attend NIBM training programs.

The program got approved by AICTE in 2013. It's an autonomous apex institute. NIBM placement has seen a 100% growth recorded for the PGDM course. NIRF has ranked the NIBM Pune at 91st among management universities in India in 2024 and 41st in Top B-Schools in Government category by IIRF 2024.
