Placements & Internships : Companies for Marketing and Finance come in huge numbers and the for Operations and HR. The average salary is 8.5-9 lakhs per annum. The placement records are really good of Nirma, the 95% of the batch gets placed. The highest salary offered is around 18-22 lpa. Nirma's Alumni network is really strong.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : The admission criteria are CAT score, personal interview and group discussions. I took CAT, NMAT and SNAP. The cutoff for CAT in Nirma for the MBA full time course is 75 percentile in 2021. The typical cutoffs for CAT are above 80. The campus of Nirma is huge with a lot of greenery with sports facilities and opportunities for extra curriculum.

The institute is in partnership with major campus recruiters such as Dell, Airtel, Adani Group, Axis Bank, MG Motors, Cognizant, Smart Cube, etc. Companies hire for various marketing, sales, banking and finance, IT, analytics, and HR roles. The placements for the year 2020 was average due to the pandemic. The average salary is approximately INR 9.00 Lacs. The highest salary figure is INR 12.33 Lacs. Over 95% of the students have been placed. Nirma enjoys a large and cohesive alumni network. It has an alumni forum that conducts various alumni interactions and celebrates alumni day every year.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : For pursuing an MBA, the candidates should hold a three-year bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline from a recognized university. Those who are still in the final year degree could also apply. Candidates can apply online by submitting an online application form on the institute's website within the stipulated time. They should secure at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates should appear for CAT. The CAT cut-off for MBA-full time at IMNU was 80 percentile in 2019. The cut-offs usually vary between 75 to 85 percentile.

Fees & Scholarships : Nirma Institute of Management, Ahmedabad Fee Structure. The course fee is about INR 4.76 Lakh per year. It is approximately INR 7 Lakh per year, including the hostel rent, mess, laundry, and other charges. The University provides two types of scholarships: Merit scholarship - It is warded to the top 30 students registered in the programme in order of merit Merit-cum-means scholarship - It is awarded to 75 students as a part of financial aid based on consistent performance on the merit list On average, 100 students receive the scholarships mentioned above An education loan portal has been developed for aiding the students to apply and track their loan applications with several banks.

Academics & Faculty : The class sessions can be divided into morning and evening sessions. They start at 9 AM, and there's a lunch break in the afternoon separating the two sessions.  There are two assessment components: CEE- It carries a weight of 40% and includes projects, assignments, quiz and class tests. TEE- It is the term-end examination that carries the balance of 60% weightage and is conducted at the end of every term. The teaching pedagogy consists of classroom lectures with case discussions and other practical simulations and projects. It is also included with guest lectures and interactions from industry experts to provide students with a great learning experience. One year of my MBA programme has finished, and overall it was a good experience. Although the online mode of studying was challenging, the faculties and students tried their best to make it more engaging and enhancing.  

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : The institute has two boys hostels and one girl hostel. The students must reside on the campus in the hostel. The hostel fee for non-AC accommodation is charged annually, and the amount is INR 65,000. I've heard good reviews about the food and mess facilities. The mess charges cost INR 44,000 annually. The classrooms are air-conditioned, well furnished and well equipped to facilitate a healthy learning environment. The college has offline and online library resources providing students with a wide knowledge base. The institute has rich computing facilities and labs. A high-speed optic fibre line providing WiFi hotspots and LAN connectivity around the campus. Overall the campus is often described as slushy green.

Clubs & Associations : The clubs and committees at IMNU offer a wide range of student engagement activities. They organise various intra-university, inter-university, and national level events every year. IMNU has 25 clubs and committees that regularly organise cultural, sports events, and other extra-curricular activities. Here are some of the flagship events of IMNU: Parakram - A national level inter B-school sports tournament  Perspective Richter - The flagship annual management and cultural festival at IMNU Life at the IMNU campus is enriching and goes beyond academics.
