NTR College of Veterinary Science was established in 1998 by Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University. Since 2006 NTR College of Veterinary Science is a constituent college of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University(SVVU). NTR College of Veterinary Science provides all the facilities as directed by the standards of Veterinary Council of India. 

College organises interactions with farmers and provide training to field veterinarians on a regular basis for research purposes. Under Rashtriya Krishi Vikasana Yojana(RKVY) scheme, NTR College of Veterinary Science supplies superior germplasm to the farmers.
