Padmashree Dr.D.Y. Patil Medical College, [PDDPMC] Pune, is one of the most renowned medical colleges in the state of Maharastra established in 1996. It is the first private college in Maharastra recognized by the Medical Council of India [MCI] and has recognition from the University Grant Commission [UGC], DCI, Ministry of Human Resource Department [MHRD], and the Govt. of India.

The main goal of this institute is to train students to achieve all-round development. It has a fully functional hospital with modernly equipped laboratories for better learning of the students. College gives importance to research besides practicals and lectures. It has a huge campus with an eco-friendly learning environment.

The college has taken several initiatives to contribute to society. It has worked for the victims affected by a landslide at Main Village, floods in Kashmir. PDDPMC stood first in the "Charity Hospital at poor patient's doorstep" program which was implemented by the Charity Commissioner, Maharastra. They helped the poor needy people with free treatment.
