PIET Eligibility Criteria

To take admission in any course at PIET, Panipat, students must meet the minimum eligibility criteria of that particular course. The eligibility of the major courses offered is mentioned below.

PIET B.Tech Eligibility

Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] is a four-year undergraduate course with specializations in Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, CSE (AI & ML/ AI & DS/ Cyber Security), and Textile Engineering.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics as a compulsory subject & Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Informatics Practices as optional Subject obtaining at least 45% marks (42.75% marks in case of SC/ ST category).
• Candidates must have a valid JEE score.

PIET MBA Eligibility

Master of Business Administration [MBA] is a two-year postgraduate course offered by Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panipat.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have completed graduation or postgraduation in any stream with 50% marks (47.50% marks for SC/ ST).
• Admission to the MBA programme is based on the composite score of CMAT/ MAT.

PIET MCA Eligibility

Master of Computer Applications [MCA] is a three-year postgraduate course offered by Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology, Panipat.

Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have completed graduation or postgraduation with a minimum of 0% marks (47.50% for SC/ ST) in any stream with Maths/ Statistics as one of the subjects.

PIET Infrastructure Facilities

The Institution is equipped with state-of-the-art ICT facilities to cater to the needs of students, faculty members, and other stakeholders. The library at PIET, Panipat has a rich collection of 50,000+ books and also received around 156 printed national and international Journals and subscribed to 26 Magazines and 11 Newspapers. The institute has an auditorium which is named after the great scientist and former President of India, Dr APJ Abdul Kalam. The institute has a conference hall in the administrative block with all modern audio-visual facilities for the use of placement and other departments.

Hostel Details

The institute provides hostel accommodation to students willing to stay within the campus. There are two boys’ hostels and a girls’ hostel to accommodate up to 250 and 100 students respectively. Hostel Superintendent/Counselors amicably interact with students to solve their problems regularly. Necessary furniture such as bed, table, chair, cupboard, etc is provided for each student in every room. The hostel rooms are allotted on a “first come first served basis”. All the students including those from other countries live on the campus in a harmonious environment with a feeling of home away from home. The facilities offered are mentioned below.

PIET Scholarships

Panipat Institute of Engineering and Technology is fully committed to fulfilling its social responsibilities towards providing student scholarships. PIET QUEST is a test-based scholarship scheme and involves three rounds, one is held at schools or colleges where the students are studying. The second round is held in the PIET campus through which twelve toppers are selected in each category from arts/ commerce (school level), science (school level), polytechnics and colleges. These toppers then go through an open stage quiz contest through which the winners are identified. The following scholarship applies to all programs. In today’s world, so many talented students find it very difficult to pursue higher education because of a lack of financial resources. Institute believes that talent is not captive of academics alone. Unfortunately, many of the talented students compromise on their careers because of financial hardships.
