The institute offers a total of 8 courses across both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. At the undergraduate level, RRIT provides 6 specializations in B.Tech, while at the postgraduate level, students can opt for 2 M.Tech specializations. For the academic year 2024-25, RRIT has opened admissions for its various courses. The college conducts the COMEDK UGET for B.Tech admissions, and it also accepts KCET scores for students applying to its programs.

For admission to the B.Tech program at RR Institute of Technology, general merit candidates must have completed their PUC, 10+2, or an equivalent examination with a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in Mathematics, Physics, and one optional subject such as Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Electronics, or Computer Science. For M.Tech admission, candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication, Instrumentation Technology, Electronics and Telecommunication, or a related field. Candidates with an AMIE qualification in the relevant branch are also eligible. Additionally, GATE scores in the EC (Electronics and Communication) or IN (Instrumentation) streams are required for M.Tech admission.

The KCET 2024 cutoff for RR Institute of Technology has officially been released. The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) publishes the cutoff ranks for various categories. For RRIT, the cutoff for B.Tech in Electronics & Computer Engineering for the 1G category is 104,306, while for B.Tech in Computer Science & Technology, the cutoff for the 1G category is 83,850. Additionally, the cutoff for B.Tech in Civil Engineering for the 2AG category is 227,982.
