Infrastructure Facilities RV College of Architecture, (RVCA) Bangalore
The college campus is spread over 2.4 acres and a total floor area of over 15,000 square meters. The RV College of Architecture, [RVCA] Bangalore campus constituents of Academic Block, Administrative Block, and Hostel Block. The college has the following facilities for the students.
- Library - The library has over 4,000 titles and 5,000 volumes of literature. There are around 20 national and 10 international journals that send subscriptions to the college.
- Studios- There are a total of 12 studios that have over 40 work stations. The workstations provide a space for students to work on their designing creative tasks.
- Computer Laboratory - The lab at RVCA has 60 standalone computer systems. They have licensed software from Autocad, Revit, etc.
- Hostel- The campus has separate hostel blocks for girls and boys. The girl’s hostel has 43-bed rooms. Additional 30-bed capacity is available at Venkatadri hostel. Hostel facilities for boys are also available with the same bed capacity as the girl’s hostel.
- Sports Facility- Outdoor and indoor sports facilities comprising chess, carrom board, table tennis, basketball, badminton court and gymnasium are available within the premises.
- Seminar Hall- An air-conditioned, 130-capacity seminar hall, widely used for conducting seminars and talks by faculty and invited experts. Hall is equipped with projection facilities and a public address system.
- Multi-purpose hall- Named after the late Prof.Sudheendra Yelvagi, this 250-capacity auditorium serves the purpose of conducting bigger events. The hall is also used for the purpose of conferences and cultural events in the college.
- Lecture halls- Ten lecture halls that are capable of accommodating a class of 40 – 80 students. The lecture halls are equipped with modern teaching equipment to facilitate an effective and interactive learning environment.
- Girls hostel- Forty three-bedrooms are available in the Girls’ Hostel block. Additional thirty bed-capacity is available in Venkatadri Hostel located about 4 kilometres from the campus. A vegetarian mess providing four meals a day is attached to the hostel for the convenience of the students.
- Fine arts studio- A facility housed in a space measuring 120 square metres. Students explore their creativity by playing with different mediums such as clay, wax, plaster of Paris, and canvas. The studio is equipped with easels, potter wheels and other required tools and equipment.
- Exhibition hall- A spacious Exhibition hall measuring 180 square metres proudly showcases the works of RVCA students produced in studios. The displayed works offer an overview of RVCA’s philosophy pedagogical approach.
- Dining facility- Hostel inmates served vegetarian meals comprising of breakfast, lunch, evening tea and dinner.
