SA Engineering College was established following the general policy of the Govt. of TamilNadu in the year 1998-99. The College was set up by the Dharma Naidu Educational & Charitable Trust. The college is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. SAEC is accreditated Grade ‘A’ by NAAC, is under process of getting accreditation by the NBA. SA Engineering College Admissions attracts eligible students all over the country to pursue the courses offered by the College.

SA Engineering College is spread across an area of 42 acres and has 4 lakh sq.ft of constructed area. The campus includes academic areas, residential areas, and administrative areas. There are separate blocks of building for the different department which are equipped with seminar halls, conference halls, and laboratories,

The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the field of engineering and technology. They also offer Masters of Computer Application (MCA) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) along with Doctoral Programs. The total intake in all these courses is 1110 students, that are divided into 2 quotas; Government quota and Management quota.

SA Engineering College has hostels, transportation, medical, canteen, sports facilities to the residents of the campus. Hostels are strategically located at a convenient distance from the academic buildings to make navigation around campus easy for the students.

SA Engineering College Courses:

SA Engineering College offers undergraduate, postgraduate programs with doctoral programs in different disciplines of engineering. There are 6 undergraduate and 4 postgraduate courses available in the college. The college offers a master's degree in Computer Applications and Business Administration.

SA Engineering College is located in Chennai, in an area of 42 acres. The whole campus is consists of a Hostels, Administrative Building, and Academic area. The college has different blocks for a different department, equipped with laboratories, seminar halls, conference halls, computer labs and classrooms with internet connectivity.

SAEC focuses on the overall development of the students and they focus on the physical fitness of the students along with studies and research. There are sports facilities like basketball, football. Hockey, cricket, throwball, badminton. Kabaddi. Aesthetics, Kho-kho, Volleyball, Chess, Carom, Table Tennis, Weight-lifting, etc. The students are encouraged to use these facilities and take an active part in sports as it promotes overall growth.

SA Engineering College Eligibility Criteria:

• Students of OC category should have obtained 50% marks in the qualifying exams while BCm and BC category should obtain 45% marks
• For MBC and SC/SCA/ST the minimum marks to be obtained are 40%
• Students should have passed 10+2 in Science Stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as 3 of the 4 main subjects from a Tamil Nadu State Board or any other state board or any other authority recognized by the syndicate of Anna University
• For PG students, bachelor's in their respective field is required along with a valid GATE score
• MBA students should have any bachelors degree and should have a valid CAT/ GMAT/ CMAT score
• Lateral entry students must have their Diploma Certificates

The hostels provide safe boarding facilities for outstation students. The hostels are monitored by an efficient and qualified custodian and staff who also takes care of the students.

The Hostels of SAEC has necessary furniture, electrical and bathroom fittings pre-installed for the benefit of the students. There is a reading room, a computer room, and a gymnasium for the students.
