The School of Communication was started in the year 1997 and is a constituent College of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). Courses Offered by School of Communication

The Manipal School of Communication provides Bachelors, Masters and PG Diploma programmes along with certification courses for admission. 

• The Undergraduate programme includes B.Sc and BA in Media and Communication.
• At the Master’s level, the Institute provides MA in various disciplines.
• The PG Diploma and Certification in Animation Technology also forms a part of the courses offered.

School of Communication Application Form

The application form to all the courses available at the Manipal School of Communication can be obtained from the official website of the Institute.

1. Visit the official web portal of the School of Communication, Manipal.
2. Click on ‘Apply Now’ and start filling out the application form.
3. Upload the scanned copy of the prescribed documents.
4. Make a payment of INR 600/- for General category and INR 2500/- for Foreign/ NRI/ NRI sponsored category using credit card/ debit card/ net banking.
5. Submit the form online and keep a copy of the printed application form.

School of Communication Admission Fees

The shortlisted candidates are required to pay fees as per the School of Communication fee structure on or before the stipulated date. 

• INR 5,40,000/- is the total fees of BA in Media and Communication for a duration of 3 years.
• MA in Film Art and Film Making has a fee structure of INR 2,40,000/- for the entire period of the programme.

Entrance Examinations Accepted by School of Communication

The admission to B.Sc, BA, MA and PG Diploma depends on the applicant's rank in the all India admission test organized by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) called Manipal Entrance Test (MET). 

• It is a computer-based test consisting of multiple choice questions.
• Every correct answer fetches 4 marks and 1 mark is deducted for an incorrect answer.
• In the case of multiple attempts, the best of the scores will be considered for the merit list.

School of Communication UG Admission 2020

The Manipal School of Communication provides B.Sc Animation and BA Media and Communication at the Undergraduate level. All the Bachelor’s programme lasts for a duration of 3 years till completion and consists of six semesters.

School of Communication UG Eligibility

To seek admission to B.Sc and BA, the applicant must have successfully completed higher secondary education from a recognized board or council. The selection procedure is based on the performance in Manipal Entrance Test (MET).

School of Communication PG Admission 2020

At the PG Level, Master of Arts in Media and Communication, and Film Art and Film Making are available. The Institute provides these courses for a duration of 2 academic years consisting of four semesters. 

School of Communication PG Eligibility

The candidates must hold a Graduation Degree with minimum 3 years from a reputed University to become eligible to apply for the Master’s programme. The admission is based on Manipal Entrance Test rank followed by group discussion and personal interview for Film Art and Film Making.

School of Communication PG Diploma and Certificate Courses Admission 2020

The Institute offers PG Diploma in Sports Communication and Corporate Communication for a period of 1 to 2 academic years. Also, the School of Communication, Manipal provides certificate course in Animation Technology for a duration of 6 months.

The Post Graduate Diploma programme requires the candidate to complete Graduation in a relevant field. Whereas the certification demands a pass percentage in 10+2, Degree or Diploma with Computer knowledge. They also need proficiency in any design software and good communication skills.

  - Yes, the interested applicants must appear for all India admission test called Manipal Entrance Test (MET) conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education to seek admission to all the courses. There is no entrance test for certification in Animation Technology.
