The School of Communication was started in the year 1997 and is a constituent College of Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE). The Institute aims to create media professionals who can function efficiently in an increasingly hostile and diverse political and cultural atmosphere. The Manipal School of Communication lays emphasis on delivering quality education at UG and PG levels through their eminent teaching faculty.
The Institute offers various courses at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. The selection to most of the programmes offered in the School of Communication admission 2020 is based on the rank secured by the candidates in the pan India admission test called Manipal Entrance Test (MET) conducted by Manipal Academy of Higher Education.
The Manipal School of Communication provides Bachelors, Masters and PG Diploma programmes along with certification courses for admission.

The application form to all the courses available at the Manipal School of Communication can be obtained from the official website of the Institute.
The shortlisted candidates are required to pay fees as per the School of Communication fee structure on or before the stipulated date.
The admission to B.Sc, BA, MA and PG Diploma depends on the applicant's rank in the all India admission test organized by Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) called Manipal Entrance Test (MET).
The Manipal School of Communication provides B.Sc Animation and BA Media and Communication at the Undergraduate level. All the Bachelor’s programme lasts for a duration of 3 years till completion and consists of six semesters.
To seek admission to B.Sc and BA, the applicant must have successfully completed higher secondary education from a recognized board or council. The selection procedure is based on the performance in Manipal Entrance Test (MET).

At the PG Level, Master of Arts in Media and Communication, and Film Art and Film Making are available. The Institute provides these courses for a duration of 2 academic years consisting of four semesters.
The candidates must hold a Graduation Degree with minimum 3 years from a reputed University to become eligible to apply for the Master’s programme. The admission is based on Manipal Entrance Test rank followed by group discussion and personal interview for Film Art and Film Making.

The Institute offers PG Diploma in Sports Communication and Corporate Communication for a period of 1 to 2 academic years. Also, the School of Communication, Manipal provides certificate course in Animation Technology for a duration of 6 months.
The Post Graduate Diploma programme requires the candidate to complete Graduation in a relevant field. Whereas the certification demands a pass percentage in 10+2, Degree or Diploma with Computer knowledge. They also need proficiency in any design software and good communication skills.
