Kasturba Medical College (KMC) Mangalore, established in 1955 and a constituent of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), has been recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) since 1958. Ranked 33rd in NIRF 2024 among medical colleges in India, KMC Mangalore offers UG, PG, and Fellowship programs in various specializations. Admission to MBBS is based on NEET UG merit, while MD/MS admissions are based on NEET PG scores. The college admits both national and international students and provides scholarships for meritorious UG and PG candidates. Placement and internship opportunities are guaranteed for all students.

KMC Mangalore Admission

MAHE offers admissions based on merit to Indian/Domestic (General) and Foreign/NRI (International) candidates meeting eligibility criteria. Foreign/NRI seats are open to Foreign Nationals, NRI candidates, OCI/PIO cardholders (before 04.03.2021), and NRI-sponsored candidates. OCI/PIO cardholders before 04.03.2021 are considered Indian nationals per a Supreme Court ruling (03.02.2023).

Admission Criteria

1. Indian/Domestic Admissions: Based on merit as per eligibility criteria for UG and PG programs.
2. Foreign/NRI Admissions: Equivalent qualifications recognized by AIU are mandatory.
3. Qualifications:

• • UG Admissions: Accepts 10+2 from recognized Indian or international boards like GCE 'A' Levels or IB Diploma.
  • PG Admissions: Requires a recognized bachelor's degree (minimum 3 years). Foreign qualifications need AIU equivalency.

Key Notes

• MBBS, BDS, MD, MS, and similar admissions require NEET rankings and DGHS/MCC counselling.
• B.Arch candidates must qualify for NATA. No NRI-sponsored seats are available.
• Programs like M.Sc. Clinical Psychology or M.Phil. Clinical Psychology requires MET or Department Tests.
• Eligibility and admission are subject to statutory body guidelines. False information leads to admission cancellation.
