KMC Mangalore was established in 1955. It became an independent unit in 1977. The college is recognized by the Medical Council of India. It is also recognized by the General Medical Council of Great Britain and the Malaysian Medical Council. The college provides a degree in Medicine. It has an undergraduate, postgraduate, and fellowship program. The KMC admission is based on the NEET UG score and previous academic performance.

KMC Mangalore has the highest number of ICMR STS awards in India. The Education Commission for Foreign Graduates has recognized MCA Mangalore as one of the top 20 International Medical Schools. Students from over 45 countries graduate from Kasturba Medical College.

KMC Mangalore Admission

KMC Mangalore Admission 2024 is through centralized common counseling which is conducted by DGHS. The candidates satisfying the eligibility criteria can apply online on the college website. The selection to the M.Sc course will be based on the MET rank. Admission to all other courses will be based on the NEET UG rank.

KMC Mangalore Eligibility Criteria

KMC Mangalore candidates should check their eligibility before applying to the courses provided. The eligibility details are as mentioned below.

MBBS Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks.
• The candidate should have a valid NEET UG score.

MD/MS Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have passed MBBS from a University or College recognized by MCI and should have completed the Internship on or before 31st March of the current academic year.
• Candidates must have a valid rank obtained in NEET UG.

M.Sc Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates should have passed MBBS, BHMS, BPT, B.Pharm, BAMS, or any other equivalent degree or MSc with at least one subject of biological science from a recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks.
• Candidates must have a valid rank in the All India Manipal Entrance Test (MET).

KMC Mangalore cutoff 2022 has not been released yet. The college offers various courses to the UG and PG students as the students can check the cutoff criteria via all rounds of NEET UG counseling. Being affiliated with the Manipal Academy of Higher Education, the college offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and certificate programmes. The accepted exams are NEET UG, and NEET PG for courses like MBBS, MD, MS, MPT, and PG Diploma.

KMC Mangalore Scholarships

KMC Mangalore provides financial support to meritorious students. The KMC scholarship includes freeships and concessions. The freeship is offered to MBBS students who secure ranks up to 2000 in NEET exams. For students securing ranks between 2001 to 5000, Merit-cum-Means scholarship is provided. It will be based on the income of the parents as mentioned below. The students who have studied at any of the AGE or Dr. TMA Pai Foundation Institutions who get admitted to the MBBS program based on the NEET score will also be provided scholarships based on the same criteria.
