Entrance Exams & Admissions : An entrance exam was conducted by the university. Based on the score obtained I got selected in E and C. However, I was interested in Mechanical Engineering and placed a request for change. The same had been changed as my score in exam was quite good that is 156. The exam was conducted by the university itself.

Placements & Internships : The main companies for placement are Wipro Ltd. TCS, L&T, Airtel, HDFC bank, Tech Aspect, Orange. Average package range is now increased from 3.5lakh/annum to 4.2 lakh per annum. Almost 60% student get placed every year. Alumni network is quite strong. There were no. Entrance Exams & Admissions : The main eligibility criteria at my time are only AIEEE which is now JEE mains. At that time cut off goes to rank 1lakh n 50 thousand. But now the main eligibility criteria is that the student should only appear in JEE.
Fees & Scholarships : The tuition fees is INR 120,000 per annum. Scholarship schemes are available for meritorious students who perform well in their academics. Also scholarships for girls. 10-20 students get the scholarship in each school of the university. A loan may be needed if your annual income is low. And maybe J&K bank can provide you with that easily.
Academics & Faculty : Everything is quite good. Timing changes for every semester. Quality of teacher is now increased as everything is now practically performed by professors Overall experience is quite good
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : 4 separate hostels for boys and 4 separate hostels for girls also. The hostel is mandatory as it is a residential university. Food is good. And it takes 30000 per year. Wifi facilities are there is hostel as well as in the academic area. Labs are well equipped. Infrastructure is astonishing. Every class is fitted with new interactive classroom modules
Clubs & Associations : The number of student societies is there. Though there is not a large no. Of clubs but every year number of cultural and technical fests are celebrated in the college. Also, sports fests happen twice in a year So overall is quite a fun in the college

Key companies which visit Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University for campus placement are TCS, WIPRO, ORANGE, Indian Navy, INFOSYS etc. Average Salary is around Rs. 3.2 lakh pa. There is good alumni network present in the campus.
Fees & Scholarships : My course fee at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is Rs. 1.6 Lakh per annum. Top 6 students will get 100%, 50%, 25%, 10% concession in the tuition fee respectively. 6 members from each course get scholarships every year. Yes, loans are needed and we get them easily from the banks.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : JEE MAIN is the exam which has to be cleared for getting admission in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University, Katra. I got 35991 rank in JEE MAIN and I got B.Tech Computer Science Course. The cut-offs is you need to get below 70000 rank.
Academics & Faculty : The class timings including labs period at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University are from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The quality of teaching is not bad. The overall experience is good.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 7 hostels in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University 4 for boys and 3 for girls. The hostel fee costs Rs. 1,800 per month. There is no PGs are available near the campus. Food in college is good and it costs around Rs. 80 per day. The quality of Classrooms, labs, libraries, dining halls, wi-Fi and all other key infrastructure is excellent.
Clubs & Associations : There are a lot of different clubs for academic, cultural and sports etc present at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University. Titiksha-Tech fest, Tatva-Mangement Fest, Resurgence-Cultural Fest these are different festivals celebrated in our University. Overall experience in college is very good.

Placements & Internships : Placement at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is quite average. Maximum numbers of students will be placed in the campus. There are some MNC's from INDIA like TCS, Infosys which comes every year for placements.
Entrance Exams & Admissions : The eligibility criteria for joining SMVD University is one must have to clear the JEE MAIN exams.
Fees & Scholarships : The fees at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University is comparatively equal to the IITs. The fees for Btech course is around Rs. 2 lakhs per year. There is no scholarship for the students except you are the topper of the batch.
Academics & Faculty : The faculty members are good but their style of teaching is very bad. You can't depend on the faculty at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University infrastructure is excellent. You can see a fully natural environment on the campus. The hostels are very good. Mess food is good. The library facility is good.
Clubs & Associations : There are lots of clubs present in Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University like music club, singing club, dancing club. Different events like cultural events, technical events etc are held on the campus.

Academics & Faculty : I have done my internship in the service and maintenance department of Peaks Auto Pvt. Ltd. which is one of the biggest dealer of Maruti Suzuki in north India. I didnt get any stipend. The placements are very poor in my college for mechanical engineering students as no core company of mechanical visits here. The only companies visiting here are IT companies like Wipro, TCS etc in which Ece and Cse students get placed. The Avg package is about Rs 3.3 - 3.6 lakhs per annum and the highest (if any) is about Rs 4.0 - 4.4 lakhs per annum. Just recently attempts have been made to create alumni network.
Fees & Scholarships : The college charges a huge fee. It's about Rs 8 lakhs ( total) for 4 year BTech course. There might be some merit cum means scholarships available. I don't have complete knowledge about it. There are certain scholarships for outstanding students awarded on the basis of your semester score ( 30000 per semester/ max. 6 scholarships in a batch). Generally, 2-3 students in a batch get scholarhsips. Considering the huge fee, loan becomes the necessity. There are two banks inside campus ( J&K bank and OBC bank) from which one can get the loan. I can't say about how easily it is available.

Fees & Scholarships : My course fee is Rs 1 lakh 14 thousand approx per year. 10% students in the class got scholarships.
College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : There are 2 for girls, 4 for boys, nice hostels, fees was Rs 22000 approx. per month, Including mess fee. Not much options outside college. Nice good quality food. Nice classrom and other infrastructure, good wifi connection.
