Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi Govt. Ayurveda College Raipur (C.G.) a pioneer institute of Ayurveda and counting as the oldest institute of Ayurveda in India. It has a glorious history of Ayurveda education. It was established in the year 1949-50 by Late Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi. It is located on the G.E. Road near the NIT, Raipur, and functioning in the aesthetically designed building. The college is well-equipped with laboratories, dissection hall, demonstration hall, classrooms, auditorium, seminar hall, museum, herbal garden, yoga, and meditation center, canteen, drug standardization unit, pharmacy, offices, residential quarters, playground, medical stores. Physical Education Center, College Union, and a well-flourished library with nearly 19737 of the enormous collection of books from various sciences with large reading hall facilities in addition to the libraries established in individual departments. Presently all together 14 departments exist and among them, 11 departments are having Post graduate facilities. The College has a separate hostel for girls and boys. The college is merely recognized by the Central Council of Indian Medicine (CCIM), New Delhi, and also by The Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, and New Delhi. Moreover, Many senior faculty members of this institute have received an invitation as resource personals at International and national conferences.
There are no specific admission procedures as per Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi Government Ayurved College, Raipur, Chhattisgarh is concerned. However, the process of Shri Narayan Prasad Awasthi Govt. Ayurveda College admission will be done based on the "National Eligibility cum Entrance Test".

A: Candidates in the rank list of the entrance examination conducted by the VYAPAM, Raipur, Chhattisgarh are eligible to apply. NEET examination is mandatory for all the Under Graduate courses for Medical Science as per the rules by the Government. NEET PG examination is mandatory for the Post Graduate courses. Candidate should have passed the higher secondary education under the Chhattisgarh Govt examination. Equivalent there to 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology put together are eligible for the B.AM.S course. 4 ½ years & 1-year internship (With Allowance).
