Sawai Man Singh Medical College (SMSMC), organized in 1947 was the 15th medical education center in India and marked a significant milestone for Rajasthan’s medical field. Initially housed in SMS Hospital's south wing and Jaipur Medical Association's building, it started with Dr. G.N. Sen as its first principal, followed by Dr. S.C. Mehta. Recognized by the Medical Council of India in 1952, SMSMC pioneered postgraduate courses, with its first MD and MS graduates completing their studies in 1955.

MD Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must pass the MBBS degree in the relevant discipline as issued by the Medical Council of India/ State Medical Council.
• Candidates must have completed the compulsory internship of one year.
• Candidates must obtain a valid NEET PG rank to secure admission into the MBBS program.

M.Ch/ DM Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have an MD/ MS degree from any university recognized by the Medical Council of India.
