Application Process for MDS, MS:

• The eligible applicant seeking admission can obtain prospectus and the application forms from the university website.
• The eligible applicant seeking admission can also obtain the application form from the university office at MGMCRI Campus, Pondicherry in person/by post on payment of Rs.2000/- in the form of DD drawn in favour of Registrar, Sri Bala Ji Vidyapeeth University, Ponducherry-607402.
• The eligible applicant seeking admission must send their filled in application forms for admission to address Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute (MGMCRI), Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth Campus, Pondy Cuddalore Main Road, Pillalyarkuppam, Puducherry-607403.

Admission Process at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University, [SBVU] Puducherry:

Admission Process for MDS, MS:

• Selection of eligible applicants for admission to the above mentioned courses is done on the basis of merit in the common entrance test conducted by Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University on All India basis.

Results for admission are tentative and will be announced by the college authorities once they complete the selection process of eligible candidates. Students seeking admission should keep themselves updated from the official college website.

Eligibility Criteria at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth University, [SBVU] Puducherry:

Eligibility Criteria for M.B.B.S:

• Applicants seeking admission must have passed HSC with PCB with at least 50% aggregate marks with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and mathematics or any other elective subjects with English at a level not less than core course of English from this university or any other recognised university to be considered eligible for admission. 
• Applicants seeking admission must have done an intermediate examination in sciences of an Indian University/Board or other recognised examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology to be considered eligible for admission.  
• Applicants seeking admission must have pass pre-professional/pre-medical examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology, after passing either the higher secondary school examination or the pre-university or an equivalent examination to be considered eligible for admission.  
• Applicants seeking admission must clear the first year of three years degree course of a recognised university, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology including a practical test in three subjects and candidate must pass 10+2 with English at a level not less than a core course to be considered eligible for admission.
• Applicants seeking admission should complete 17 years of age to be considered eligible for admission.

Eligibility Criteria for BDS:

• Applicants seeking admission must have passed HSC with PCB having a minimum of 50% aggregate marks and 40% marks (for SC/ST/OBC) category candidates from any recognised university.
• Applicants seeking admission must also have taken English as one of the subjects to be considered eligible for admission.
• Applicants seeking admission must also secure 50% marks and 40% (for SC/ST/OBC) category candidates in the common entrance test.
• Applicants seeking admission should complete 17 years of age to be considered eligible for admission.

Eligibility Admission for B.Sc:

• Applicants seeking admission must have passed HSC with at least 40% marks with English, physics, chemistry and biology as subjects from any recognised university to be considered eligible for admission.

 Eligibility for Admission for B.Sc (Nursing):

• Applicants seeking admission must possess diploma in nursing with a minimum duration of three and half years from this university or any recognised university after completion of HSC or (10+2) equivalent to be considered eligible for admission.
• Applicants seeking admission should be registered nurse and midwife with or without the experience of PHN in the hospital/ institutions after registration in state nursing council to be considered eligible for admission.

Eligibility criteria for B.Sc. Nursing (Post-Basic):

• Applicants seeking admission must possess diploma in nursing with a minimum duration of three and half years from this university or any recognised university after completion of HSC or (10+2) equivalent to be considered eligible for admission.
• Applicants seeking admission should be registered nurse and midwife with or without the experience of PHN in the hospital/ institutions after registration in state nursing council to be considered eligible for admission.

Eligibility Criteria for M.Sc (Nursing):

• Applicants seeking admission must possess degree in B.Sc (Nursing) from this university or any other recognized university with minimum 55% of aggregate marks and 50% marks for (SC/ST) candidates.
• Applicants seeking admission should be a registered nurse and midwife of any state nursing council with one year experience after graduation.
• Applicants seeking admission should be 17 years and above. No upper age limit is prescribe.

• Applicants seeking admission can obtain application form along with information brochure issued by the college or download it from the university website “www.sbvu.ac.in”
• Applicants seeking admissions who have to download the application form they have to pay Rs.1500/- as DD towards the cost of application along with completed application form.
• Applicants seeking admission can also obtain application form by person on payment of Rs.1500/- by cash from the college office at puducherry/Chennai.
• Applicants seeking admission can also obtain application form by post by sending DD of amount Rs. 1500/- drawn in favour of Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth , payable at puducherry.

Eligibility Criteria for PG Diploma inGood Clinical Laboratory Practices:

• Applicants seeking admission must have a hold of B.Sc.(MLT)/PGD-MLT/MD Biochemistry/MD Pathology/MD microbiology/M.Sc are eligible to aapply.
• Application seekingadmission must have a hold of Medical Microbiology/M.Sc. Medical Biochemistry are eligible for the above programme.

Application Process for M.Ch PG Diploma in Medical & M.Ch:

• Applicants seeking admission must apply for admission by filling and submitting completed application before the last date.
• All fields in the application form should be correctly and completely filled in with the relevant information.
• Applicants seeking admission can obtain the application form from the University Office at MGMCRI Campus, Pondicherry in person/by post or should log on to the university website.

Candidates must follow the following steps:

• Fill the application form with the necessary information
• Take the printout of the Application form
• Enclose the application form with the important documents
• Pay the application fee via available online payment modes/ demand draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, Sri Bala Ji Vidyapeeth University, Ponducherry-607402.
• The candidate shall submit the application form along with the necessary enclosures  to the university office either by post/in person
• Applicants seeking admission must keep the Xerox copy of the completed applications for subsequent use.

The applicant must send the photo affixed and duly signed the application and the following copies of following documents.

• Transfer Certificate of the eligible applicant.
• HSC/CBSE/other equivalent mark sheet of the eligible applicant.
• Graduation certificate of the eligible applicant.
• PG Certificate of the eligible applicant.
