Eligibility Criteria for Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, Gandhi Nagar:

Eligibility criteria for B.P.Ed:

• The candidate must have any one of the following to be eligible for B.P.Ed.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the Inter-college/Inter-zonal/district/school competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.
• Bachelor's degree in physical education with 45% marks.
• Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied physical education as compulsory/ elective subject.
• Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and having participated in National/ Inter University/ State competitions or secured l”, 2nd or 3rd position in Inter .College/ Inter-Zonal/ District/ School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.
• Bachelor’s degree with participation in international competitions or secured l“, 2nd or 3'd position in National/ Inter-University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations/ AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.
• Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates i.c. trained physical education teachers/ coaches).
• The relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of the central government/state government, whichever is applicable.

 Eligibility criteria for M.P.Ed:

• A candidate seeking admission to M.P.E.S. programme must fulfill the following conditions.
• He/she must have a B.P.Ed, BPE or B.Sc(Health & Physical Education) from Swarnim Gujarat Sports University or any other University recognized as equivalent for the purpose.
• He /she must have obtained at least 55% marks in B.P.Ed, BPE or B.Sc(health and physical education).The reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks for students of reserved categories shall be as per the rules.
• Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance test(written test, sports proficiency test, and marks obtained in the qualifying examination) or any other selection process as per the policy of university with due weight for physical fitness test.
• As for the M.P.E.S. Degree, The candidates must have subsequently undergone the prescribed course of study in the university department or a college affiliated to this university for a period of not less than 2 academic years and shall have passed the examinations prescribed and shall have fulfilled such conditions as have been prescribed therefore.

Application process for courses at Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, Gandhi Nagar:

Application process for B.P.Ed, M.P.Ed:

• The students must apply for the university's entrance test using the application form provided to them by the university.
• The students must also supply the required documents as prescribed by the university
• The applicants must then wait for the merit list prepared by the university.

Admission process for courses at Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, Gandhi Nagar:

Admission process for M.P.ED, B.P.Ed:

• Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination(written test, sports proficiency test, physical fitness test, and marks obtained in the qualifying examination) or any other selection process as per the policy of the iniversity/ State Govemment/ JT Administration.
• Admission of foreign nationals applications of foreign nationals nominated by the Govt. of India under scholarship schemes and self-financing foreign nationals shall be entertained for the aforesaid program.
• Foreign nationals shall not be subject to the entrance test provided they have passed the equivalent qualifying examination and satisfy the minimum eligibility requirements with relaxation in maximum age for admission.
• Reservation to the extent of 15% of the quota of Programme in a subject, on supernumerary basis, for foreign nationals shall be made for admission to the aforementioned program available in the department or colleges.
• The concern committee shall get examined the eligibility etc. of each applicant and shall issue the eligibility letter to the concerned foreign national, if found eligible.
