The Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, established by Government of Gujarat under Act 22, 2011, is the brainchild of the present Prime Minister Narendra Modi with an aim to provide knowledge and learning to aspiring sportspersons and help in development of sports in the state. The University offers career oriented certificate courses in Under Graduate Courses, Post Graduate Courses, Post Graduate Diploma Programs, Research Programs in various fields like Physical Education, Sports Science, Fitness Management, Exercise Therapy and Physical Conditioning, Adventure Sports Administration, Sports Management, Sports Psychology, Sports Coaching and Sports journalism.

Eligibility Criteria at Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, Gandhinagar

• The students must successfully complete his/her higher secondary examination
• For postgraduate courses,the Candidate must have persued the subjects he /she presently wants to persue in his/her graduation 

Admission Procedure at Swarnim Gujarat Sports University, Gandhinagar

• Application forms are issued online
• The students must fill up the application form carefully and submit it with the required documents
• The University selects students on the basis of merit
• The selection list is displayed on the official college website
• The student must pay the fee once the provisional admission list is out
• The final selection list is drawn by the Selection Committee
