The Advanced Centre for Treatment, Research and Education in Cancer (ACTREC) evolved from the Indian Cancer Research Centre (ICRC), founded in 1952, and later became the Tata Memorial Centre (TMC) in 1966. Due to growing demands, a larger campus was sought, leading to the acquisition of 60 acres of land in Navi Mumbai in 1983. This laid the foundation for ACTREC, a modern cancer research and treatment hub under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Government of India.

Tata Memorial Centre Admission

Tata Memorial Centre offers entrance-based admissions for PG and Advanced Masters courses, including popular exams like NEET PG, Maharashtra NEET PG, and NEET SS. The institution provides 25 courses in Medicine & Health Sciences, with PG courses like Diploma, MD, and MS. The total tuition fees for PG courses are INR 316,500, with additional application and exam fees. Course duration between 2 to 3 years

Tata Memorial Centre Eligibility Criteria

Admission to MBBS is based on NEET UG, while Diploma and PG Diploma admission is based on merit. Furthermore, the criteria for MD and MS programmes is MBBS from a recognised institute, with admission based on the candidate's NEET PG score. The eligibility criteria for some courses are as follows

MBBS Eligibility Criteria

• The candidates must have passed 10+2 with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English.
• The candidates must have obtained the minimum required to rank in NEET UG / MHCET.

MD/MS  Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidates must have passed MBBS with 50% marks in the relevant stream
• The candidates must have obtained a valid score in NEET PG. 

PG Diploma Eligibility Criteria     

• The candidate should have completed MBBS.
• The candidates must have obtained a valid score in NEET PG.

Tata Memorial Centre is located on a campus spread over 15,363 sq. meters to 53,890 sq. meters of land with excellent infrastructural facilities for training the students. It has two separate blocks, the Administrative block and the pre-clinical block. The Administrative block has the chambers of the Principal and Director, a board room, a college office, an examination hall Departments of Pathology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Forensic Medicine and Toxicology.
