KJ Somaiya Medical College, also known as K J Somaiya Medical College and Research Centre was established over two decades ago, in 1991. It is a private medical college affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences [MUHS], Nashik. It offers various medical undergraduate and postgraduate courses. It is a Medical Council of India [MCI] accreditated institution. The admissions to KJSMC are done on the basis of NEET scores.

The college has a 22.5-acre campus which is situated in the heart of Mumbai city, at Sion, on the Eastern Express Highway. The college has 140 qualified and experienced teaching faculty with 78 Resident Doctors working in 21 well-equipped departments. The college is associated with a teaching hospital of 480 beds on the same campus which provides practical experience to medical students.
