TS Rahaman Admission 2024

TS Rahman admission 2024 will begin soon on the official website. The admission process involves filling out the application form and appearing in the entrance exam at the Nhava campus, followed by a medical fitness test by a DGS-approved Medical Practitioner.

Training Ship Rahaman offers Pre-Sea courses, which include BSc Nautical Science, BSc Maritime Hospitality Studies, BA Culinary Arts, IMU Diploma in Nautical Science, Graduate Mechanical Engineering (GME), Pre-Sea General Purpose Rating Training Course, Certificate Course in Maritime Catering and Orientation Course for Catering Personnel.

The Pre-Sea STCW courses include the Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention Course (FPFF), Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention Course (FPFF), Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities Course (PSSR), and Personal Survival Techniques Course (PST). Additionally, value-added courses, refresher courses, advanced training, and certificate courses pertaining to maritime studies are also offered. All admissions are based on the marks in 10+2 or the qualifying examination.

Training Ship Rahaman Academy Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the courses at TS Rahman must fulfill the eligibility criteria laid down by the institute. Each course has different eligibility criteria based on the level of expertise required for the courses. The eligibility criteria for some TS Rahman courses are mentioned below:

B.Sc [Nautical Science] Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have passed 10+2 equivalent [PCM 60%], and English scores should be 50% or more in the 10th or 12th standard
• Candidates should be under 25 years of age.
• A valid entrance exam score.

IMU Diploma [Nautical Science] Eligibility Criteria

• Candidate should have passed 12th, or its equivalent, or Bachelor's degree in B.Sc [PCM] with a minimum of 60% marks or BE/ B.Tech from an AICTE-approved institute with marks not less than 50%.
• The candidate should have 50% in the subject of English.

Pre-Sea [General Purpose Rating Training Course] Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates should have passed 10th or 12th standard or a 2-year ITI course approved by DVET with subjects English, mathematics & science with 40% marks in aggregate.
• The candidate should have 40% in the subject of English.
