DG Ruparel College of Arts Science and Commerce, Mumbai was established in 1952 by Modern Education Society, Pune. The society has a motto ‘For the spread of light’ to create and disseminate an atmosphere of learning and research of a high academic, professional, ethical and ecological standard in which learners can gain knowledge and skills encompassing a wide range of disciplines. Library also has an Educational Museum that contains books published before 1900. The college library offers various services like book-bank, career guidance, document delivery, reference, bibliography, photocopy, interlibrary loan, and e-TOC.

Gym:

The college provides a well-equipped Gymkhana, which provides the necessary space and equipment for both indoor and outdoor sports, with the ground being modified for specific sports. The college hired well-trained faculty to provide effective coaching to students. The Gymkhana has a hall of 61.50’ x 25.25’ for table tennis, a hall of 36’ x 10’ for carrom and a hall of 24’ x 13’ for chess. The open ground is used for kho-kho, kabaddi, volleyball, basketball, football, hockey and softball. The DG Ruparel College has a tie-up with external agencies to enable students to avail of their facilities in sports like cricket, swimming, lawn tennis, shooting, and badminton.

Counseling Center:

The DG Ruparel College has a career guidance and counseling center named 'SUMAN'. The cell provides information about undergraduate and postgraduate courses and career options, preparation for entrance, and competitive examinations. The college conducts counseling regarding academic difficulties, stress, tension, anxiety, worry, concentration and memory problems, family and social relation. The center guides effective study skills, enhancing physical fitness, time management, enhancing self-confidence. Aptitude Testing is done on request at nominal charges.
