Library

The University B D T College of Engineering Library came into existence with the establishment of the BDT College of Engineering in 1951. The library was shifted to the present building in the year 1961. B D T College of Engineering is one of the important technical education colleges in the state of Karnataka, and it was managed and administered by the Department of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka. In the year 1992 Government of Karnataka handed over this college to Kuvempu University as its Constituent College. Since then college name was renamed as University B D T College of Engineering. 18th August 2009 Karnataka State Government was formed the new Davanagere University, this college was comes under this University up to 24 February 2011. After this college was goes to VISVESVARAYA TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY constituent college.

The library acts as a nerve centre, catering to the needs of the students, the researchers and the faculty members of all under graduate departments and Post graduate department, covering Science, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, engaged in higher pursuit of knowledge. The college Library has been shaped as a centre of excellence, for academic and research pursuits, by keeping it open to the changes brought in by Information Technology.

Boys Hostel

The college has Boys Hostel attached to it. It has two independent blocks which can accommodate 350 students. The room rent and service charges are nominal. The mess for both the blocks is running on dividing system. The hostel has amenities like Indoor Games, Reading room, Sports, Library, T.V. etc. For First admission, charges will be Rs. 4,200/-only. Mess Charges per month will be around Rs.700/-to Rs.800/-

Girls Hostel

The College is providing Hostel facilities for girls students. Presently they are accommodated in rented buildings and a new girl's hostel has been built and the Ist floor construction is at finishing stage which is at walkable distance from the college campus. hostel charges for first admission will be Rs.3500/- only. Mess Charges per month will be around Rs. 700/-.

Sports Facilities

The college has Cricket, Foot Ball/Hockey, Basket Ball, Tennis, Volley Ball, Kho-Kho and Ball Badminton fields in the campus. Apart from these, there are facilities for indoor games like chess, carom etc. Students will be given chance to show their ability in the house wise competitions including staff. during the sports and athletic meet conducted every year. The college has a multi gym facility with 12 stations.
