University Institute of Chemical Technology, [UICT] Jalgaon was established on 15th August 1990 under the Maharashtra Universities Act, XXIX of 1989. This university started its academic and administrative functioning from the year 1991-92. The main campus of the University is located on a hilly terrain and is the perfect environment for learning, teaching, and research. There are about 220 affiliated colleges and 04 University recognized Research Institutes/Centres under the jurisdiction of University. UICT also has an exclusive education programme under the Right to Education Act for children of labourers working on campus at Day Care Center and Central School, North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon.
