Placements & Internships : If you have the passion for programming and have good coding skills you can easily apply for internships in 2nd and 3rd year of the course. Also, many projects are there for the students at University School of Information and Communication Technology. Average salary package offered is Rs. 4 - 5 Lakhs and the highest package go up to Rs. 14 Lakhs pa.   Many students get placed in the campus with good package.

Entrance Exams & Admissions : University School of Information and Communication Technology is the main campus school/college of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University(GGSIPU). To be eligible for this college you have to give entrance exam known has IPU CET. You can register for this test at an online portal in the month of April-May. The test is only Pen & Paper based and you have to go to your allotted center to give it. As this is a state university your center will be only in Delhi region. Talking about cutoffs for CSE it goes up to 9000 in 2015 (this result contains General, SC/ST, Handicapped, OBC ) for ECE up to 11000 and for IT, it is around 14000.

Fees & Scholarships : In the year 2015, the course fee at University School of Information and Communication Technology is Rs. 54,000 per year for day scholars and around Rs. 80,000 for hostelers and this is the best fee structure for any Btech College. The scholarship is awarded to the topper of every stream after the graduation. If you need a loan you can get it from the Indian Bank present in the college branch at a very low interest.

Academics & Faculty : The class timing at University School of Information and Communication Technology is from 9 am - 5 pm from Monday to Friday.  Every year you have two semesters and in each semester you have 1 minor (overall 25 marks) and 1 major(overall 75 marks) theory exams and only 1 practical exam at end semester for each subject. Most of the faculty is good and they are helpful to the students.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : Hostel fee at University School of Information and Communication Technology is around Rs. 40,000 per year and it includes (meal, room, gym, parks, etc) fees. The rates of the canteen are minimal and one can find every type of meal he/she wants. The quality of classes rooms is good. There are labs for every subject and also there are some labs with open Wi-Fi installed. There is a centralized Library for students (fully AC, open Wi-Fi, ethernet ports, a computer lab at first floor). Also, there are five blocks (A-E) and out of these five blocks (C, D, and E), the block has a large auditorium. Books are available at a time of semester start and the general book is available throughout the year. The college has 2 badminton courts, tennis court, basketball/volleyball court, a cricket ground. You can also find Indian Bank branch inside the campus, and ATM nearby. Amul, Nescafe, and general stores can be found inside the campus.  

Clubs & Associations : There are many clubs present at University School of Information and Communication Technology like Aveksha(cultural club), Srijan(science clubs), Andro(android clubs), SDC(software development cell). Also, you have seniors students team to help you in academics. Anugoonj is the main festival of college which attracts a large pool of students. Infoxpression is our technical festival which gives you a platform to show-off and win prizes.
