Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering,[VVCE] is one of the prestigious engineering colleges in Karnataka. Popularly known as VVCE, the college was established in 1997, since then it has grown in leaps and bounds. The college is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, and approved by AICTE, New Delhi, and recognized by the Government of Karnataka.

It functions through its Board of Governors constituted as per AICTE guidelines. The undergraduate programs are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation [NBA], New Delhi. The college has excellent infrastructure facilities with the qualified and passionate faculty team to provide a perfect learning ambiance which influence students from all region of India.

• The library in VVCE was established in the year 1997. The library, being the heart of an institution, is the center of all activities on the campus. 
• The library is developed and enriched with great care. It has a collection of 39,690 books with 8082 titles.
• Library subscribes to around 81 printed journals.
• All documents have been classified as per AACR II of Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) and systematically shelved on Open Access.

The training and placement department of VVCE plays a crucial role in the placement of BE, M.Tech, and MBA students. The VVCE placement department has the best infrastructure for the smooth conduction of training and placement activities. It works in close coordination with the Industry Relations Executives and the Department Placement Coordinators (DPC) which comprises of both students and faculty members nominated from individual departments.

The admissions are done as per the Government of Karnataka and AICTE norms. For VVCE admissions BE candidates should have qualifying rank in either CET or COMEDK entrance test. The hostel facility is available for students of all years and a separate hostel for girls and boys. The girls' hostel accommodates nearly 30 students and the boys' hostel accommodates nearly 300 students. Mess facility available in the hostel.
