Vivekananda Institute of Management was established in 1972 by some eminent and like-minded persons comprising philanthropists, educationists, scientists, engineers, doctors, industrialists, and social workers to provide quality education at affordable costs. Vivekananda Institute of Management is recognized by the Government and affiliated to respective statutory authorities.

 At most care is taken by the management in selecting the best teachers with the highest academic qualifications. The cordial relationship between teachers and students is of one family atmosphere with high standards of discipline; well-stocked libraries are built for each institution.  

Vivekananda Institute of Management offers Undergraduate programs such as BBA, BCOM, and BCA, Post Graduate Programs such as MBA & MCOM with a nominal fee structure. At Vivekananda Institute of Management, the application forms for the courses are available on the college campus. Vivekananda Institute of Management Eligibility Criteria

The university has different eligibility criteria for different courses and candidates seeking admission must first meet the eligibility criteria in any of these courses. The eligibility criteria for some of the Vivekananda Institute of Management courses are given below.

BBA Eligibility

• Candidates who have completed Two years of Pre‐University courses at Karnataka State or its equivalent are eligible for admission into this course. 

BCA Eligibility

• A candidate who has passed the two years Pre‐University Examination securing a minimum of 35% of marks conducted by the Pre‐University Education Board in Karnataka. or,
• A candidate who has passed JODC / Three years Diploma in Engineering of Government of Karnataka with a minimum of 35% of marks in aggregate in all the semesters/years or any other examination considered as equivalent thereto shall be eligible for admission.

MBA Eligibility

• The candidate should have a graduate degree under the 10+2+3 or 10+2+4 pattern under any discipline, securing at least  50% marks in aggregate, from a recognized university. or,
• The candidate should have an honors degree under the 10+2+4 pattern from a recognized university under UGC Act having at least 50% marks in aggregate including languages.
• In the case of SC / ST category candidates, there is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate of marks obtained in the University Exams.
• MBA admission criteria are based on the valid score of MBA PGCET / CAT / MAT / ATMA. 

MCOM Eligibility

• The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in Commerce/Management subjects and secure a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in that subject.
