In the academic year 2009-2010, YSR Engineering College, Proddatur, was established to produce engineers with high technical knowledge in computer, information, and communication engineering. The college offers a Bachelor of Engineering in six different disciplines.

BE or Bachelor of Engineering, also popularly known as B.Tech, is a four-year degree program for students wishing to pursue their careers in engineering. The specializations offered by YSR Engineering includes various specializations such as Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, etc.
