The AP ADCET exam pattern 2025 is set by the organizing body to help candidates comprehend the final question paper pattern. The AP ADCET (Andhra Pradesh Art and Design Common Entrance Test) is held annually and is conducted by Dr. YSR Architecture and Fine Arts University, Kadapa on behalf of the APSCHE (Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education).

This state-level exam admits candidates for admission into B.F.A. (Bachelor of Fine Arts) and B.Des. (Bachelor of Design) programs offered by various colleges/universities in Andhra Pradesh. The exam is held in the Pen-Paper mode (Offline) with a total of 100 Multiple Type Questions.

AP ADCET 2025 Exam Pattern Section-wise

There is no clear-cut sectional division in the AP ADCET exam. Candidates will have to solve the questions appearing at random from topics like General Knowledge, Art & Communication Skills, Technical details of Applied Art, Painting, Sculpture, Animation, Photography, and Design skills.

AP ADCET Exam Time Duration 2025

Candidates seeking admission into Fine Arts and Interior Design courses will be allotted 2 hours i.e. 120 minutes to complete the paper. There is no sectional timing as there are no sections as such. The entire paper is expected to be completed in 2 hours only comprising 100 questions each of 1 mark.

Aspirants appearing for AP ADCET 2025 must have a clear idea of the marking scheme to excel in this state-level entrance examination. 

For every correct answer +1 mark will be rewarded however, for every wrong no deductions will be made as there is no negative marking in the AP ADCET 2025.

There have not been any drastic or major changes observed in the last 5 years in the AP ADCET exam. The exam pattern has remained consistent through the years however, there have been some minor changes in the type of questions asked lately.

Recently, questions have been from Current Affairs and on the application of knowledge and understanding of concepts especially from Fine Arts and Design without disrupting the pattern of the paper.

How to Answer Questions in AP ADCET 2025?

While attempting the questions, candidates must keep these points in mind to excel in AP ADCET 2025:

  • Start the paper with questions you are confident in, it will motivate you and will keep you going.
  • Utilise the no-negative marking scheme by attempting all the questions even if you are not sure about the answers.
  • Attempt the paper in two rounds, the first round should be to mark all the questions which you are sure of and in the second round attempt those questions where you are doubtful of the right answers.
  • Side by side keep colouring the OMR sheet to avoid last-minute hassle.
