The JEE main 2025 result session 1, paper 1 has been declared on Feb 11, 2025 by the National Testing Agency. The candidates can check their JEE Main 2025 scorecards on the official website using their login credentials, i.e. application number and password. 

The JEE Main Toppers list 2025 for Session 1 has also been published by NTA. Candidates who appeared in the JEE Main 2025 Session 1 can check their subject-wise marks and aggregate percentile after the release of results.

Students can also review the JEE Main cut-off 2025 for reserved and unreserved categories which will be published by the conducting board.  Candidates above the cutoff score will be eligible to take the JEE Advanced 2025 exam and apply for JEE Main counselling 2025 for admission to top engineering colleges.

Re-Evaluation of JEE Main Session 1 Result 2025

NTA JEE Mains result 2025 will be compiled based on the JEE Main final answer key 2025 for session 1. The students can raise complaints through the objection window provided by the board.

The timeframe for raising objections against the answer key must be completed within the due date for B.E and B.Tech exams. The final answer key will be published after evaluating all the objections raised by candidates.

Students cannot raise any objections to the NTA score in the JEE Main 2025 result obtained, as the marks published on the scorecard are final. No requests for revaluation of JEE Main exam result 2025 will be entertained.

These are some of the important changes made by the National Testing Agency for the JEE Main result 2025.

  • The candidate's class XII score will not be considered for normalization of the score.
  • For admissions to IITs/NITs/IIITs/CFTIs, the candidate must obtain a minimum score of 75% marks (65% for SC/ST) or must be in the top 20 percentile in class XII results.
  • Only the top 2,50,000 All India Rank holders of JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to write JEE Advanced 2025. The number has increased by 10,000.

NTA JEE Main Session 1 2025 Normalization Process

The detailed normalization process involves the preparation of the following list for all the sessions of JEE main 2025.

  • Step 1: Percentile calculation (to 7 decimal places) is done to reduce the chances of a tie.
  • Step 2: A final merit list is prepared based on these scores.
  • Step 3: A final list of students is compiled, in which only the NTA score in JEE Main 2025 result obtained in an academic year is considered.
  • Step 4: Seat allotment is done accordingly.

JEE Main 2025 Tie-Breaker Rule

Applicants must note that if the tie persists after applying the existing rules, the age of the candidates will be considered, and the older candidate will be given the chance.

If this does not break the tie, the candidate who applied for the JEE Main 2025 exam first will be considered for the admission process.

JEE Main 2025 Tie-Breakers for B.Tech

Several lakhs of students attempt the JEE Main 2025 exam every year. Hence, the situation of the tie is common.

In case of a tie, i.e., when two or more candidates obtain equal marks, the inter-merit of such candidates shall be decided in the order mentioned below.

  • Resolution of Marks Obtained in Mathematics: The candidate obtaining higher marks will be given a better rank.
  • Explanation of Marks Obtained in Physics: The candidate obtaining higher marks will be given a better rank.
  • Resolution of Marks Obtained in Chemistry: The candidate obtaining higher marks will be given a better rank.
  • Resolution by Finding the Ratio of Positive Marks and Negative Marks: Candidates with a higher absolute ratio value will be given a better rank. Candidates will be given the same rank if the resolution is not possible after this criterion.
  • Resolution of Incorrect Answers in Mathematics: The candidate with lower incorrect answers will be given a better rank.
