JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) will host the JEE Main Counselling 2025 on the official portal tentatively from Jun, 2025. JEE counselling 2025 is expected to be conducted in 5 rounds and four different processes: JoSAA Counselling, CSAB Special Rounds, CSAB NEUT Counselling and CSAB Supernumerary Rounds.
Candidates who scored 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination were eligible to participate in the JEE Main 2025 counselling. They must complete the JEE Main 2025 registration and choice-filling process to participate in the counselling process.
The Authority will announce the JoSAA seat allotment result round-wise on the official website. JoSAA seat allotment result 2025 can be checked online at josaa.nic.in. The application number and password are required to view the JoSSA 2025 seat allotment result.

Step 1: JEE Main Counselling Registration

Step 6: Reporting to the Allotted College

Documents Required for JEE Mains Counselling
After accepting their assigned seats, candidates must go to the reporting centres established by JoSAA to verify their documents. Candidates must bring all of the documentation mentioned below with them while reporting.
- Personal Details: Photo Identity Card, Medical Examination Report and Proof of Date of Birth.

JEE Main Special Round Counselling 2025
JEE Main counselling 2025 includes the CSAB providing centralised counselling for the following four categories:
- CSAB Special Round is open to all NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs in India.
- CSAB SFTI (Self-Financing Technical Institutes): For 12 self-financing technical institutes
- CSAB NEUT: For extra seats in JEE Mains in NITs for Union Territories and several AICTE-approved institutes in the North East and Union Territories (NEUT). Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Andaman & Nicobar, and Lakshadweep are among the 12 North East and Union Territories for which the CSAB will conduct counselling.
- CSAB Supernumerary: For the Union Territories (UTs) of Andaman & Nicobar, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep & Khandvi supernumerary round of counselling.
After the JoSAA 2025 seat distribution process is completed, the Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will conduct two special rounds of JEE Main counselling 2025.
- For seats in JEE Mains that remain unfilled after seven rounds of JoSAA counselling, CSAB special rounds are held.
- Candidates with a valid JEE Main 2025 score can participate in the counselling round.
