JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 2025: Qualify (JEE Main/JEE Advanced)

JoSAA 2025 eligibility criteria will be set by MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Develoment). Candidates who qualify in JEE Main 2025 or JEE Advanced 2025 examinations will be eligible for the JoSAA counselling 2025. The eligibility criteria for JoSAA 2025 includes a variety of factors, such as qualifying exam scores and 12th-grade grades. JoSAA eligibility reservation includes all requirements a candidate must possess to register for counselling.

JoSAA 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Before filling out the JoSAA application form 2025 the candidates must be aware of eligibility for JoSAA counselling 2025 admission since they vary depending on the kind of institution and particular courses. Candidates can choose which institute to apply to for admission by being aware of the JoSAA 2025 eligibility criteria 2025 in advance.

• Candidates shall ensure that the qualification criteria of JoSAA 2025 are duly met and fulfilled. Without doing so, they will be deemed ineligible for JoSAA 2025 registration.
• For admissions to NITs, the candidates should have qualified JEE Main 2025. Candidates from their home state and outside state reservations in JoSAA follow the same eligibility criteria.
• The conducting authorities will organize a document verification phase. Only when the required qualification criteria are fulfilled will candidates be allotted a seat through JoSAA 2025.

JOSAA Domicile Certificate	For JOSAA 2025 counselling if you want to take advantage of the state quota, you must produce a valid domicile certificate.
JOSAA Age limit	There is no age limit for JoSAA. Candidates need to qualify eligibility criteria of JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
JOSAA Educational Qualification	10+2 (or equivalent) exam with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 2025 for JEE Main

• Should have passed the 10+2 exam (or a comparable test) with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, or a Technical Vocational Subject as an optional subject.
• For admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, general category candidates must have received at least 75% of their total marks to meet the JoSAA 75% requirement 2025.
• The overall percentage that must be attained is 65% for reserved categories. However, students will also be qualified for admission if they rank in the top 20 per cent of their board.
• The candidates should achieve the JEE Main cutoff. This does not, however, ensure entrance.

JoSAA 2025 Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced

• The candidates must meet the JEE Main 2025 qualifying requirements.
• The applicants must fall within the top 250,000 qualified JEE Main 2025 applicants.
• Candidates for increased admissions chances should meet the JEE Advanced cutoff.

JoSAA Eligibility Criteria 2025 for JEE Advanced (Preparatory Courses at IITs)

• Since only candidates from the SC/ST/PwD categories will be admitted, candidates must fall under these categories.
• Should be eligible to take the JEE Advanced 2025 exam.
• The candidates are also recommended to review the JoSAA 2025 eligibility criteria set forth by the participating institutes. Verifying the course eligibility criteria the candidates are applying for is important.
• The authorities will provide information on course restrictions that applicants must consider when applying for admission.

JoSAA 2025 Eligibility Highlights

Candidates must note that there are no specific eligibility criteria for JoSAA 2025. It is essential to qualify for JEE Main 2025, and JEE Advanced 2025 to participate in JoSAA 2025. In addition, candidates will have to satisfy the eligibility criteria of the participating institute.

Allotted seats will be cancelled if the candidates do not satisfy all the necessary eligibility criteria and hence will not be allowed to participate in the JoSAA 2025 reservation round counselling.

The candidate should have qualified JEE Advanced 2025 and JEE Main 2025 for both exams to register for the IITs. To register for NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs, a candidate should have qualified JEE Mains 2025.

JOSAA 2025 Qualifying Marks

• The candidate should have a minimum of 45% aggregate marks in Class 12th or any equivalent course.
• While for SC/ST/OBC candidates, the aggregate percentage should be 40% in Class 12th or any equivalent course. This is the only JoSAA 2025 reservation for SC candidates.
• There is no separate reservation for girls in JoSAA eligibility criteria 2025.

JOSAA Eligibility Criteria 2025 for B.Arch/B.Planning

• Candidates applying for the Architecture course must qualify for the Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) to be eligible for registering under JoSAA eligibility criteria 2025.
• The candidate should score at least 50% aggregate marks to be eligible for JoSAA in Class 12th with Physics and Mathematics as core subjects following either Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Language or a technical vocational subject as optional.

• Obtained a rank in JEE Main 2025 Paper 1 for B.E/B.Tech Program at NITs, IIEST, IIITs, and Other-GFTIs.
• Must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) exam* with Physics, Mathematics, and one of Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, or Technical Vocational as required subjects.
• Additionally, each topic should have been passed separately by the candidates.

JoSAA Registration and Choice Filling 2025

JoSAA 2025 registration and the choice-filling process will commence on the official website after JEE Advanced 2025 results are declared. All eligible JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2025 applicants must register and complete their course and college preferences before the deadline.

The alternatives list will be presented based on the candidates' eligibility for JoSAA counselling 2025. Candidates' JEE Main registration number and JEE Main/Advanced password will be required to log in.
