AP EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2025: Age Limit, Reservation, Domicile

AP EAMCET eligibility criteria 2025 are set by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada, for the candidates who are willing to write the examination. As per the AP EAMCET eligibility criteria, the candidate must have passed or appeared for the Intermediate Examination (10+2) or a Diploma course from the boards that are recognized by the Government of the state.

They should also fulfil the local/non-local status laid out by the State as well as the Educational Institutions. The following AP EAMCET 2025 eligibility criteria are for the students applying for Engineering, B.Pharmacy, Pharm.D, B.Tech(Dairy), B.Tech(Ag. Engineering), B.Tech(FS & T), B.Sc(Agri. Engineering).

AP EAMCET Eligibility Criteria 2025 for Engineering Courses

The AP EAMCET 2025 eligibility criteria for engineering courses are mentioned below:

Nationality

  • Citizenship: The candidate should be an Indian citizen to be eligible to participate in AP EAMCET 2025 or must belong to the Person of India Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) (Card Holders) category to be eligible to apply for 2025 AP EAMCET.
  • Domicile: The aspirant must be a domicile of the state of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana and possess a domicile certificate.
  • Status Requirement: To satisfy AP EAMCET 2025 Eligibility standards, a candidate should belong to Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana state. The candidate should satisfy Local/Non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.

AP EAMCET Age Limit

The candidate should be more than 17 years of age for B.Tech (Dairy Technology), B.Tech (FS & T), B.Tech (Ag. Engineering), and B.Sc (CA & BM). There is a maximum age limit of 22 years which is relaxed by 3 years for SC/ ST candidates.

The upper age limit for the candidates belonging to the General Category is 22 years, while for SC/ST category, it is 25 years of age as of December 31 of the year of admission.

AP EAMCET Educational Qualification

  • Compulsory Subjects: The candidate must have cleared or appeared for Class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as major subjects, and the particular exam should be recognized by the Andhra Pradesh board which includes IPE (Intermediate Public Examination), CBSE, etc.
  • Diploma Candidates: Candidates who have completed or qualified for the final year of diploma in engineering courses are also eligible for AP EAMCET 2025. The diploma examination will be conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana.
  • Marks Required for General & OBC Students: General and OBC candidates must secure 45% in their Class 12 examination in PCM or in the diploma course to be eligible for AP EAMCET 2025.
  • Marks required: Candidates from the General category should have a minimum of 45% and candidates from the Reserved categories should have a minimum of 40% to appear for AP EAMCET 2025.
  • Diploma in Pharmacy: Candidates who have completed a diploma in Pharmacy can also apply for the Pharma.D course.
  • Conducting board: The diploma exam should have been conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.

Note: In case the candidate is appearing for the entrance examination while their qualifying examination's results are pending, then his/ her entry will be valid only if he/ she clears the qualifying examination.

AP EAMCET 2025 Medical Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to refer to the AP EAMCET eligibility criteria 2025 to check if they are eligible for B.Pharm admissions or not. The various criteria related to age, nationality, domicile, and more have to be fulfilled by the candidates. AP EAMCET requirements as per the 2025 eligibility criteria for B.Pharm is listed below for reference:

Nationality

Candidates who are of Indian nationality or belong to the Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) category will be termed eligible.

Domicile: The domicile requirements of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana have to be satisfied as mentioned by the Official Authority.

AP EAMCET Age Limit

Candidates should have completed 17 years of age by the date of commencement of admission into the course or on such other date as notified by the authorities. There is no upper age limit.

AP EAMCET Educational Qualification

The candidate appearing for the examination should have passed or appeared for the final year of the intermediate examination (10+2) with Biology, Physics, and Chemistry as optional subjects conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/Telangana.

Academic Qualifying Marks: Candidates must obtain a minimum aggregate of 45% marks in the subjects mentioned above taken together in the qualifying examination.

AP EAMCET 2025 Agriculture Eligibility Criteria

The following AP EAMCET eligibility criteria 2025 is applicable for B.V.Sc. & A.H. / B.Sc.(Ag) / B.Sc.(Hort) / B.F.Sc. / B.Tech.(FS&T), B.Pharma.

Nationality

  • Citizenship: The candidate should be an Indian citizen to be eligible to participate in AP EAMCET 2025 or must belong to the Person of India Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) (Card Holders) category as per the AP EAMCET 2025 Eligibilty Criteria.
  • Domicile: The candidate should be a native of the state of Andhra Pradesh/Telangana and must possess a domicile certificate.
  • Status Requirement: Candidates should fulfill local/non-local status requirements as laid down by Andhra Pradesh Educational institutions.

AP EAMCET Age Limit

The candidate must meet the below requirements as per the AP EAMCET eligibility criteria 2025.

  • Candidates should be more than 17 years as of Dec 31, 2022, of the year of application.
  • The upper age limit is 22 years and an age relaxation of 3 years is provided to candidates from reserved categories.
  • For B. Pharma, candidates should have completed 16 years of age.

AP EAMCET Educational Qualification

For B. Pharm, candidates should have cleared or should be appearing in the final year of the intermediate with Biology, Chemistry & Physics subjects.

For Agriculture courses, candidates should have cleared or should be appearing in Higher Secondary or equivalent exam with any two or three of the given subjects:

  • B.Sc.(Agriculture) & B.Sc (Horticulture): Physical sciences, Agriculture, Biological or Natural sciences, and Vocational course in Agriculture.
  • B.V.Sc. & A.H: Physical sciences, Biological or Natural sciences, and Vocational courses in Veterinary Sciences.
  • B.F.Sc: Physical sciences, Biological or Natural sciences, and Vocational Courses in Fishery Sciences.
  • B.Tech. (FS & T), B.Pharmacy & Pharm-D: Mathematics, Biological or Natural sciences, and Physical Sciences.

AP EAMCET Reservations of Seats

The colleges participating in the AP EAMCET have a certain percentage of seats reserved for the candidates belonging to the SC, ST, PWD, and OBC categories. The AP EAMCET reservation percentages are regulated yearly by the Government Norms, and for the EAMCET 2025, no official data has been released but given below are the statistics based on previous years.

Note: The aspirants must satisfy the AP EAMCET eligibility criteria 2025 before applying for the examination. Failing to abide by the eligibility criteria for AP EAMCET 2025 might lead to the candidate's assassination from the exam or the Counselling process of AP EAMCET 2025 or the admission process.

AP EAMCET Application Form 2025

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Kakinada will release the AP EAMCET application form in Mar 2025. Candidates will be able to fill out the form online on the official link. Before filling out the form, candidates must ensure that they are meeting all the requirements as per the AP EAMCET 2025 eligibility criteria. While filling out the application form for AP EAMCET, candidates are required to fill in all the necessary details and also cross-verify that any of the details mentioned are correct.

Candidates are advised to fill the form within the specified dates else they will have to pay an additional fee for submitting the form online. Also, the admit card will be issued to only those candidates who have filled out the application form correctly. In the candidates want to edit the application form, they will do so once the application correction window is made live in the exam authority of AP EAMCET.
