CUET PG eligibility criteria 2025 includes educational qualifications where candidates must hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in the relevant field from a recognised university. Also, there is no upper age limit for CUET PG. Candidates of any age can apply as long as they meet the educational qualifications.

As per the guidelines of NTA, there are seats reserved for scheduled caste (SC) is 15%, scheduled tribe (ST) is 7.5%, OBC-NCL is 27%, EWS is 10%, and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) is 5%.

1. CUET PG Educational Qualification 2025

NTA has set some educational qualifications as a minimum CUET PG eligibility criteria to appear for the exam.   • Candidates must have cleared their bachelor's degree in any subject with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • A relaxation of 5% will be given to reserved category candidates.
  • Candidates must have a score of 55% in 10th and 12th.

2. CUET PG Subject-Wise Academic Qualification 2025

Candidates can select any subject in which they want to complete their post-graduation. Biotechnology Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology with a minimum aggregate score of 55% from a recognized university. However, a 5% relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/PwD/OBC candidates.
Chemistry Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related discipline. Candidates need to score a minimum of 50% marks and for SC/ST/OBC/PwD there will be a relaxation of 5%.  
Mathematics Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minimum score of 50% marks in the undergraduate course.
Physics Bachelor’s degree in Physics from a recognized institute.The minimum qualifying marks must be 55% and for SC/ST/OBC candidates, there will be some relaxation.
Biochemistry Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry with a minimum of 55% mark from a recognized institute.
Life Sciences Bachelor’s degree in any Life Science subject from a recognized institute with a minimum of 50% marks. Relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates.
Zoology Bachelor’s degree in Zoology or Life Science with a minimum of  55% marks.
Microbiology Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Botany, Zoology, or Life Sciences with a minimum of 50% marks and 45% for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EWS candidates.
Botany Bachelor’s degree in any Life Science or Environmental Science with a minimum mark of 55% and 50% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.

3. CUET PG 2025 Age Limit 

As per the NTA, there are no CUET PG eligibility standards 2025 for the age limit of applicants. Candidates of any age can appear for the examination. Aspirants must have completed their graduation in any program with a minimum of 50% marks. However, candidates must check the age limit of the participating institutes for CUET PG. 

4. CUET PG Nationality

The nationality of candidates is very essential in determining the CUET PG eligibility factor. As per the CUET PG guidelines, candidates from India, Nepal, Bhutan, Tibetan refugees and foreign national candidates are only allowed to appear for the CUET PG examination.   • Indian Citizen: Candidates who come from India with proper documents are eligible to appear for the CUET PG exam.
  • Nepal and Bhutan Citizens: Candidates who have a nationality of Nepal and Bhutan are also eligible to appear for the examination.
  • Tibetan Refugees: Tibetan refugees who came to India before Jan 1, 1962, and stayed in India as a permanent resident are also eligible to appear for the exam.
  • Foreign Nationals: Candidates from foreign Nationals such as Pakistan, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Kenya, and Burma who have permanent homes and have resided in India permanently for a long time are also eligible.

5. CUET PG Reservation Criteria

As per the NTA, a few seats are reserved according to the reservation criteria. Candidates must check the CUET PG eligibility criteria 2025 for seat reservations.
