About BVSc

BVSc stands for Bachelor of Veterinary Science and it deals with the prevention, control, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in animals. The BVSc syllabus is designed to keep the demands of the industry in mind. Hence, there is a lot of BVSc job scope and opportunities for students in both the public as well as private sectors.

Eligibility Criteria for BVSc

The basic eligibility for this course is 10+2 with subjects Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and with a minimum of 50% in aggregate from CBSE/ICSE/State Board or equivalent. 

Eligibility to most veterinary colleges is on the basis of results obtained in the entrance examinations conducted by the respective universities. The Veterinary Council of India conducts an All India Pre Veterinary Test (AIPVT) for admission to the first year of the Bachelor of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (BVSc and AH) course.

How To Get Admission to BVSc?

BVSc admission is possible through both entrance examination and merit-based selection. Many universities offer direct and entrance exam-based admission to the BVSc course. Types of BVSc

Full-time BVSc is a 5.5 years course in which the average fee structure ranges from INR 10,000 to 2 LPA. The students need to give their proper time to study for this full-time mode. Distance BVSc

The distance-time BVSc course can be done in 14 weeks. The fee structure ranges from INR 10,000 to 50,000 PA.

Online BVSc

The online BVSc course duration depends on the specialization and different sites but can be completed in 3 months after enrolling. This course uses individual sites to teach the students.
