UCEED Entrance Exam 2025: IIT Bombay will close the UCEED 2025 application form (with late fees) on November 18 (extended from November 8); the usual fee deadline was October 31, 2024. The application period began on October 1, 2024.

The application fee for UCEED 2025 is Rs. 4000. Candidates applying now must pay a late fee of INR 500. The UCEED 2025 will take place on January 19, 2025. The UCEED 2025 admission portal - uceed.iitb.ac.in - provides a complete schedule as well as other vital updates such as the admission brochure, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and syllabus.

UCEED Application Form 2025

The UCEED application form 2025 process commenced on Oct 1, 2024, on the official website at uceedapp.iitb.ac.in. The registration fee for the General Category is INR 3,600 and for the Reserved Category & Females of all Categories, it is INR 1,800. 

UCEED Application Process 2025

Candidates must complete the UCEED application form 2025 to register for the exam. Applicants can follow the steps given below to complete the UCEED login 2025.

1. New Registration

Candidates registering for the UCEED 2025 exam for the first time can follow the steps below.

• Step 1: Candidates must go to the official website.
• Step 2: Now click on 'Examination' > 'Registration' to access the UCEED registration form.
• Step 3: Now, click on "Registration Portal"  and select "Register" if you are a first-time applicant. (If not, select Login)
• Step 4: Enter the email ID with which you want to register yourself. Then click on "Register" to proceed.

2. Upload Credentials/ Documents

After registering as a new user, candidates can follow the steps given below to complete the UCEED application process 2025.

• Step 1: Candidates must click the "Fill out the Registration Form" button.
• Step 2: Candidates must enter their communication address, mother's name, father's name, educational qualification, and exam details.
• Step 3: They must click the 'Save' button and cross-check the entered details. After confirmation, candidates must click the 'Confirm' button to submit.
• Step 4: Applicants should upload the documents- Passport size colour photograph and a scanned copy of the candidate's signature along with their class 10 and class 12 mark sheet. After uploading, they should click on the 'Submit' button.
• Step 5: Candidates need to pay the UCEED application form fee 2025 to complete the registration.
• Step 6: Next, they must take a printout of the application form for future reference.

UCEED Eligibility 2025

Candidates who want to appear for the UCEED 2025 exam must satisfy all the eligibility criteria as specified. Those not meeting the requirements will not be allowed to proceed with the further rounds of examination.

The exam authority also has the right to cancel their candidature for the ongoing session. Only candidates who satisfy UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2025 can apply for the exam. The UCEED eligibility criteria 2025 are tabulated below.

UCEED Admit Card 2025

UCEED exam admit card 2025 will be released on the official website on January 03, 2025, at 01:00 pm by the exam authorities. The candidates must carefully check the details on it to avoid any last-minute candidature.

Candidates must download the UCEED call letter 2025 and print it after verifying the information on it. In the event of a discrepancy, candidates will be directed to promptly notify the conducting authorities.

Documents to be Carried to UCEED Exam Centre

International UCEED Exam Centre

Candidates opting for Dubai as UCEED 2025 Exam Centre should also compulsorily opt for two cities of their choice from 24 Indian cities. Suppose the number of registrations is less than 25, in that case, the Dubai Exam Centre may be dropped from the final list, and those candidates may be allotted a centre from the 2 Indian cities of their choice, in the order of preference.

UCEED Exam Pattern 2025

UCEED 2025 exam is a computer-based online examination in English. The exam mainly consists of 3 sections for a total of 300 marks namely:

• Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions
• Multiple Select Questions (MSQ)
• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ)

The paper will consist of two parts, i.e., Part A and Part B. The candidate must take note of the UCEED Exam Pattern so that they can prepare well for the exam.

Part A: Part A of the UCEED exam 2025 will consist of three sections, i.e., Section I, II, & III, with Total Marks of 240 with a Time Duration of 2 hours 30 mins. It will be administered through a Computer-based test. The three sections of Part A of the UCEED Exam have been listed below.

Part B: Part B consists of just 1 question to test the candidate's drawing skills. The candidate must complete Part B in 30 minutes, and a total of 60 marks can be secured.

UCEED Syllabus 2025

Candidates can download the revised syllabus for the UCEED 2025 exam from the official website. IIT Bombay announced that a new syllabus and test pattern will be used in 2025.

The UCEED entrance exam pattern will be divided into two parts, according to the revised UCEED exam pattern: Part A and Part B. Part A will be computer-based, but Part B will have questions displayed on the screen. Still, answers must be written/drawn on the answer booklet provided at the exam hall. In the new format, the Part B exam will last 60 minutes.

Guidelines for UCEED 2025

• Candidates must carry a printed copy of the downloaded UCEED 2025 Admit Card. Only those candidates having a valid UCEED 2025 Admit Card will be allowed inside the examination centre.
• Invigilators and the IIT representatives will verify the candidate’s identity. If the candidate's identity is in doubt, the candidate may not be allowed to appear for the examination. However, at their discretion, the authorities may permit the candidate to appear for the examination after completing certain formalities. No extra time will be allowed for completing the examination instead of the time taken for completing these formalities
• Impersonation in the UCEED examination is a serious offence that will thereby result in immediate disqualification of the candidate from UCEED, and lead to a criminal proceeding against the candidate
• Candidates will NOT be allowed to carry any electronic device (mobile phones, smartphones, digital/ smart watches, calculators, tablets, etc.), abacus, slide rule, logbooks, study material of any type, geometry box, etc. to the Examination Hall. A list of forbidden items will be put up on the website before the exam if there are additional items.
• Candidates have to remain in the examination hall for the entire duration of the UCEED exam 2025.

UCEED Answer Key 2025

UCEED draft answer key for part A will be released on January 21, 2025, on the official website by the exam authorities. The answer key will contain the answer bank for all questions asked in the question paper. Students can raise objections against it till January 23, 2025, 05:00 pm. 

The UCEED final answer key 2025 will then be released on January 29, 2025, at 05:00 pm.

UCEED Result 2025

UCCED 2025 result will be released by the conducting authority on March 07, 2025, on the official website. The result is usually shown in the form of a Rank List. The candidates need to use their User ID and Password (created during the registration process) to view the scorecard on the webpage.

UCEED-qualified students for 2025 can download their scorecards from the official website. The candidates must not assume that obtaining a rank in UCEED 2025 will guarantee admission to the B.Des program.

UCEED Cutoff 2025

UCEED cutoff 2025 for Part A will be released by IIT Bombay on the official website on February 06, 2025. The candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in Part A. UCEED 2025 cutoff mark is an essential requirement to enrol for a B.Des course in the college of one's choice.

UCEED Rank List 2025

UCEED Rank List 2025 will be prepared based on the total marks. The candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each section and the minimum total marks will be included in the Rank List.

If two candidates have scored the same total marks, a tiebreaker policy will be used to award the rank. The policy used is stated below:

• The candidate who has scored the highest marks in Section B will be awarded a higher rank
• If the previous policy does not break the tie, Section A marks will be considered
• If there exists a tie even after that, the candidates will be awarded the same rank

UCEED Result Sharing Institutes 2025

Several institutions will accept UCEED results in addition to the partnering institutions for admission to their undergraduate design courses. These institutions (UCEED result-sharing institutions) differ from UCEED participating institutions because they will not participate in IIT Bombay's joint seat allocation process.

UCEED Counselling 2025

UCEED counselling 2025 counselling dates will be released by IIT Bombay on the official website after the results for UCEED 2025 are out. The counselling shall be conducted in three rounds, rounds I, II and III.

The counselling schedule for the UCEED exam has not been released on the official website yet. However, using the previous year's data tentative dates have been calculated and given in the table below.

UCEED 2025 Seat Allotment

UCEED Seat Allotment 2025 will be done after the results are out. The seats are allotted based on the applicant's UCEED rank, category, and choice of institutes. Selected candidates will receive their provisional allotment letter via registered email ID. They have to pay the seat acceptance fee of INR 60,000 for General/ OBC/ EWS and INR 15,000 for the other reserved categories.

The seat allocation is based on the following rules the conducting authority sets.

• If the selected candidates do not pay the seat acceptance fee before the given date or have declined admission, their UCEED 2025 application will be cancelled. The conducting body shall fill these vacant seats during the further UCEED 2025 seat allotment rounds.
• If the candidate is allotted the first choice of their desired institute, they can either accept (freeze) the choice or decline the seat offer.
• If the candidate is allotted the second or third choice of their desired institute, they can either accept (freeze) the choice or accept the option to be considered for upward movement (Float).
• Candidates only have the option to withdraw an allotted seat after the last round of seat allocation has been published by the IIT Bombay.

Admissions are offered for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs at IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Guwahati, IIITDM Jabalpur, and other participating institutes.

About UCEED Exam

Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) is a National Level Entrance Examination that offers admission into the B.Des program at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur, and many other institutes.

IIT Bombay has the exclusive rights to conduct UCEED 2025 and decide about the admissions rules and the allotment of seats. The course offered through 2025 UCEED is Bachelor of Design (B.Des). Candidates from the science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their subjects are eligible to apply for all four institutions, i.e., IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Guwahati, and IITDM Jabalpur.
