UCEED 2024 Phase 1 seat acceptance along with the payment portal is scheduled to close on Apr 18, 2024. The seat acceptance fee for the general category is INR 60,000, and for the other categories including SC/ST/PWD, the seat accpetance fee is INR 15,000.

UCEED 2024 Seat Allotment

UCEED 2024 Phase 1 seat acceptance portal is scheduled to close on Apr 18, 2024.

The authority had released the UCEET seat matrix 2024 on Mar 12, 2024. A total of 225 seats are available across all categories and institutes.

The seats are allotted based on the applicant's UCEED rank, category, and choice of institutes. Selected candidates will receive their provisional allotment letter via registered email ID. They have to pay the seat acceptance fee of INR 60,000 for General/ OBC/ EWS and INR 15,000 for the other reserved categories.

The seat allocation is based on the following rules the conducting authority sets.

• If the selected candidates do not pay the seat acceptance fee before the given date or have declined admission, their UCEED 2024 application will be cancelled. The conducting body shall fill these vacant seats during the further UCEED 2024 seat allotment rounds.
• If the candidate is allotted the first choice of their desired institute, they can either accept (freeze) the choice or decline the seat offer.
• If the candidate is allotted the second or third choice of their desired institute, they can either accept (freeze) the choice or accept the option to be considered for upward movement (Float).
• Candidates only have the option to withdraw an allotted seat after the last round of seat allocation has been published by the IIT Bombay.

Admissions are offered for the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs at IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Guwahati, IIITDM Jabalpur, and other participating institutes.

UCEED Result 2024

UCCED 2024 result has been released by the conducting authority on Mar 8, 2024, on the official website. Additionally, candidates can download UCEED scorecards within the timeframe of Mar 11 to Jun 12, 2024. UCEED result 2024 is usually shown in the form of a Rank List. The candidates need to use their User ID and Password (created during the registration process) for viewing UCEED results 2024 on the webpage.

UCEED qualified students for 2024 can download their Scorecards from the official website. The candidates must not assume that obtaining a rank in UCEED 2024 will guarantee admission to the B.Des program.

UCEED cutoff 2024 has been released by IIT Bombay on the official website on Feb 8, 2024. The candidates will be shortlisted based on the marks obtained in Part A. UCEED 2024 cutoff mark is an essential requirement to enroll for a B.Des course in the college of one's choice.

The mean and standard deviation for UCEED Part A 2024 cutoff are 43.91 and 23.03, respectively.

UCEED Rank List 2024

UCEED 2024 Rank List will be prepared based on the total marks. The candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each section and the minimum total marks will be included in the Rank List.

If two candidates have scored the same total marks, a tiebreaker policy will be used to award the rank. The policy used is stated below:

• The candidate who has scored the highest marks in Section B will be awarded a higher rank
• If the previous policy does not break the tie, Section A marks will be considered
• If there exists a tie even after that, the candidates will be awarded the same rank

About UCEED Exam

Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED) is a National Level Entrance Examination that offers admission into the B.Des program at IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIITDM Jabalpur, and 15 other institutes which accept UCEED scores.

IIT Bombay has the exclusive rights to conduct UCEED 2024 and decide about the admissions rules and the allotment of seats. The course offered through 2024 UCEED is Bachelor of Design (B.Des). Candidates from the science stream with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as their subjects are eligible to apply for all four institutions, i.e., IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Guwahati, and IITDM Jabalpur.

In contrast, candidates with other streams ( arts, commerce, and science without mathematics, physics, or chemistry) are eligible to apply only to IIT Bombay, IIT Hyderabad, and IIITDM Jabalpur.

Candidates can attempt UCEED exam a maximum of two times in consecutive years. Candidates must secure a good UCEED rank to secure admission in B.Des programs. UCEED scores are valid for one year and are applicable for admission only in the corresponding academic year.

What is UCEED Exam?

For admission to the BDes program at the partnering institutions, IIT Bombay administers the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED).

Candidates should know that more than inclusion on the UCEED merit list is needed to ensure acceptance into the B.Des program. Instead, UCEED 2024 qualifiers must submit separate applications for admission to B.Des under the combined seat allocation method.

UCEED Eligibility 2024

Candidates who want to appear for UCEED 2024 exam must satisfy all the eligibility criteria as specified. Those not meeting the requirements will not be allowed to proceed with the further rounds of UCEED online examination 2024.

The exam authority also has the right to cancel their candidature for the 2024 session. Only candidates who satisfy UCEED Eligibility Criteria 2024 can apply for UCEED exam. The eligibility criteria of UCCED are tabulated below.

UCEED Number of Attempts	A candidate can attempt the exam a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.
The validity of marks card	UCEED marks sheets will be valid for only one year and only for admission for the corresponding year.
Nationality of Candidates	Both Indians and foreign nationals can appear for the exam. Candidates who are not citizens of India (by birth or naturalization) and whose parents are not citizens of India and do not come under PIO/ OCI category at the time of registering, will be considered foreign nationals.

UCEED Application Form 2024

UCEED 2024 registration process commenced on Oct 3, 2023, on the official website at uceedapp.iitb.ac.in. Candidates could access their UCEED application form 2024, till the new extended date, Nov 13, 2023, with a regular fee and till Nov 20, 2023, with an additional late of INR 500. Candidates must note that UCEED registration fee is neither refundable nor transferable.

UCEED Application Process 2024

Candidates must complete UCEED 2024 application process to register for the exam. Applicants can follow the steps given below to register for UCEED exam 2024.

New Registration

Candidates registering for the UCEED 2024 exam for the first time can follow the steps below.

• Step 1: Candidates must go to the official website, at uceed.iitb.ac.in and click on the registration link.
• Step 2: They must enter their Email ID and click on Register (An activation URL will be sent to the mail)
• Step 3: Applicants should fill in all the details that are asked and click on 'Register'
• Step 4: They will be redirected to a page for the eligibility check, which will ask for the mobile number to verify it. An OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number. (This is also to verify about PWD category)
• Step 5: Now, applicants can start filling out UCEED 2024 Application Form.

Upload Credentials/ Documents

After registering as a new user, candidates can follow the steps given below to complete UCEED application process.

• Step 1: Candidates must click the "Fill out the Registration Form" button.
• Step 2: Candidates must enter their communication address, mother's name, father's name, educational qualification, and exam details.
• Step 3: They must click the 'Save' button and cross-check the entered details. After confirmation, candidates must click the 'Confirm' button to submit.
• Step 4: Applicants should upload the documents- Passport size colour photograph and a scanned copy of the candidate's signature along with their class 10 and class 12 mark sheet. After uploading, they should click on the 'Submit' button.
• Step 5: Candidates need to pay UCEED 2024 application form fee to complete the registration.
• Step 6: Next, they must take a Printout of the application form for future reference.

UCEED Admit Card 2024

UCEED admit card was released on the official website on Jan 5, 2024, by the exam authorities. The candidates were asked to carefully examine the fields in UCEED 2024 admit card.

Candidates must download the CEED admit card 2024 and print it after verifying the information on the hall ticket. In the event of a discrepancy, candidates were directed to notify the conducting authorities by Jan 11, 2024.

If any discrepancies are found, the Chairman JEE (Advanced), UCEED & CEED at IIT Bombay must be contacted before the deadlines via email mentioned in the UCEED registration portal.

International UCEED Exam Centre

Candidates opting for Dubai as UCEED 2024 Exam Centre should also compulsorily opt for two cities of their choice from 24 Indian cities. Suppose the number of registrations is less than 25. In that case, the Dubai Exam Centre may be dropped from the final list, and those candidates may be allotted a centre from the 2 Indian cities of their choice, in the order of preference.

UCEED Exam Pattern 2024

UCEED 2024 exam is a computer-based online examination in English. UCEED exam mainly consists of 3 sections Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Questions, Multiple Select Questions (MSQ), and Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), for a total of 300 marks. The paper will consist of two parts, i.e., Part A and Part B. The candidate must take note of UCEED Exam Pattern so that they can prepare well for the exam.

Part A: Part A of UCEED 2024 will consist of three sections, i.e., Section I, II, & III, with Total Marks of 240 with a Time Duration of 2 hours 30 mins. It will be administered through a Computer-based test. The three sections of Part A of UCEED Exam have been listed below.

UCEED Syllabus 2024

Candidates can download the revised syllabus for UCEED 2024 exam from the official website. Candidates appearing in UCEED exam in the next session (2024) can continue to follow the old syllabus. IIT Bombay announced that a new syllabus and test pattern will be used in 2024.

UCEED entrance exam will be divided into two parts, according to the revised UCEED exam pattern: Part A and Part B. Part A will be computer-based, but Part B will have questions displayed on the screen. Still, answers must be written/drawn on the answer booklet provided at the exam hall. In the new format, the Part B exam will last 60 minutes.

UCEED 2024 syllabus is based on the 10+2 model of education. Understanding the formation of questions from different subjects is important to crack the exam. Since UCEED exam is opted for by many students from different streams (Arts, Commerce & Science), UCEED Syllabus mainly covers topics common for design purposes. All students can easily solve it.

Environmental and Social Awareness

Awareness of social and cultural connection with the design, history of the designed artifact, and socially responsible sculpture, history of art and literature. General awareness of environmental factors such as climate, water, population, vegetation, etc.

Language and Creativity

Students' ability to think creatively in terms of alternatives, understand and use Standard English, distinguish innovative options and think out of the box, reading comprehension, and knowledge of English grammar will be seen in this section.

Design thinking and problem

This section will check the ability to use metaphors and visual analogies, understand complexity, signs, and symbols, identify problems, evaluate options, and select solutions to generate alternatives.

Observation and Design Sensitivity

The candidate's ability to detect concealed properties in ordinary things and situations and to think critically about them, people, and events will be checked. Also, this section shows the candidate's ability to discern subtle differences in visual properties & aesthetic outcomes will be seen.

Analytical & Logical Reasoning

The candidate's ability to look at information, be it qualitative or quantitative, and discern patterns within the information will be checked. Student's ability to use structured thinking and logic to deduce from a short passage which of several statements is the most accurate response to a posed question will also be seen.

Visualization and Spatial Ability

Diagrammatic questions & pictorial questions to test understanding of transformation and manipulation of 3D objects and 2D shapes and their spatial relationships, knowledge of practical and everyday mechanical and scientific concepts.

Part B Detailed Syllabus

It comprises the drawing section where candidates must draw products, scenes, or people, considering factors such as quality, proportion, composition, shading, and perspective.

UCEED Answer Key 2024

UCEED final answer key for part A was released on Feb 1, 2024, on the official website by the exam authorities. The answer key will contain the answer bank for all questions asked in the question paper. Students will not be able to raise objections against the UCEED final answer key 2024.

However, the provisional answer key for UCEED 2024 part A was released on the official website on Jan 23, 2024.

Guidelines for UCEED 2024

• Candidates must carry a printed copy of the downloaded UCEED 2024 Admit Card. Only those candidates having a valid UCEED 2024 Admit Card will be allowed inside the examination centre.
• Invigilators and the IIT representatives will verify the candidate’s identity. If the candidate's identity is in doubt, the candidate may not be allowed to appear for the examination. However, at their discretion, the authorities may permit the candidate to appear for the examination after completing certain formalities. No extra time will be allowed for completing the examination instead of the time taken for completing these formalities
• Impersonation in the UCEED examination is a serious offence that will thereby result in immediate disqualification of the candidate from UCEED, and lead to a criminal proceeding against the candidate
• Candidates will NOT be allowed to carry any electronic device (mobile phones, smartphones, digital/ smart watches, calculators, tablets, etc.), abacus, slide rule, logbooks, study material of any type, geometry box, etc. to the Examination Hall. A list of forbidden items will be put up on the website before the exam if there are additional items.
• Candidates have to remain in the examination hall for the entire duration of UCEED exam 2024.
