How to apply for the Panchayat Secretary 2023 Exam?

The step by step process to follow while filling the Panchayat Secretary 2023 application form is as follows.

Step 1: Candidates need to first visit the official website - gramasachivalayam.ap.gov.in

Step 2: On the homepage of the website, candidates must complete the One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) first. Candidates need to obtain the OTPR ID first to complete the application form

Step 3: Fill in all the mandatory which includes basic details such as Candidate's name, Father's name, Mother's name, gender, date of birth, mobile number, email ID, religion, correspondence address etc and education details such as graduation degree, year of passing, CGPA/Percentage obtained etc. Candidates must be very careful while filling all the details.

Step 4: Once all the details are provided, click on "Submit the registration" to save details and obtain the OTPR.

Step 5: in the next step, log in again using the OTPR and password (Date of birth). After login, click on "Submit Online Application". The application ID will be generated once the form is submitted successfully.

Step 5: In the next step, proceed to payment. Click on the payment link; verify and review all the details displayed on the screen. Make the payment using net banking/ credit card or debit card. On successful payment of application fee, the reference ID is generated which indicates completion of Panchayat Secretary registration.

Step 6: Download and take a printout of the duly filled application form once complete. 

About Panchayat Secretary Exam

The Panchayat Secretary Grade (V and VI) comes under the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Subordinate System. It is a state-level examination conducted by the Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission. The appointed candidates will be deployed/transferred to work in the Village Secretariats established in the Gram Panchayats.

The candidates after being appointed will be paid INR 15,000 per month as consolidated pay for a period of 24 months. Once the candidates complete 2 years of probation, they will be given a regular scale of pay after satisfactory performance.

Panchayat Secretary 2023 Eligibility Criteria

There are certain eligibility criteria that a candidate must know before applying to the Panchayat Secretary Exam. The candidate must have good health and active habits. There should not be any bodily defect that would make him/her unfit for the position. The candidate should be a citizen of India. The candidate must have good character and healthy habits which will qualify him/her to the service.

Age Limit:

  • There is an eligibility criterion based on age and the age of the candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 42 years old.
  • The upper age limit relaxation for OBC/SC/ST category candidate is 5 years and for PWD candidates, it is 10 years. The age relaxation for all the reserved category candidates is given below.

Educational Qualification

  • The Panchayat Secretary qualification is based on the educational qualification is that the candidates should have compulsorily completed a degree from any university in India recognized by the UGC (Union Grants Commission).

Carrying the admit card to the examination hall on the day of the examination hall is a must in order to attempt the Panchayat Secretary 2023 exam. Panchayat Secretary 2023 Exam Pattern

Candidates must have a clear idea about the exam pattern of the Panchayat Secretary exam in terms of the number of questions, exam duration, marking scheme etc.

There are 3 rounds of selection in the Panchayat Secretary Exam. The first one is a screening test which is followed by the Main Examination. There will be 2 main papers namely Paper-1 and Paper-2. Paper-1 consists of questions of General Studies and Mental Ability. The Paper-2 consists of questions related to the Rural Development and Problems in rural areas with special reference to Andhra Pradesh.

Marking Scheme: For every correct answer, candidates are awarded +1 mark. In case of a wrong answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted.

Panchayat Secretary 2023 Recruitment

Each district is the unit of appointment and the District Selection Commission will be the selection authority. Candidates will be selected for the appointment of the posts based on their performance in the OMR based written examination. Minimum qualifying marks/cut-off marks will be decided by the government based on the need. The recruitment process for the post of Panchayat Secretary has three stages which include the Screening test, Main exam, and Final interview. The candidates who finally selected are summoned for the document verification. 

Screening test: Screening test is conducted in offline mode. It will occur only when the number of applicants surpasses over 25000. It is only a qualifying round and its marks are not considered for the final selection.

Main exam: The main exam is conducted in online mode. It comprises two papers. Candidates who qualify both the papers and secure marks above the cut-off marks will be qualified for the next stage.

Final interview: Candidates will be called for the final interview if they qualify the mains examination. Document verification is also included in this stage in which the original languages are verified.

  • The minimum qualifying marks for various categories are as follows
