Steps in NIMCET 2024 Counselling Process
The breakdown of the steps involved in the NIMCET counselling process is given below. NIMCET counselling steps include Registration, Choice filling, Fee Payment, and Reporting.
Candidates must make note of the various NIMCET colleges participating in the exam which is also tabulated in the article below.
Step 1: Registration and Choice Filling
Candidates must log in to the exam portal of the official website using their credentials provided during the time of application to complete NIMCET 2024 counselling registration. Candidates who are shortlisted will be given the choice to enter their preferred college for MCA programs as they have secured the qualifying score in the examination. Candidates will not have the option of changing or altering their choices as they will be locked after the last date of NIMCET 2024 choice filling.
Step 2: Seat Allotment through NIMCET 2024 Counselling
Candidates will now be allotted seats on the basis of their choices and results secured in the examination. NIMCET Seat allotment is done in three rounds as mentioned in the dates table. Candidates who are satisfied with the allotted choice must report to the admissions council of the particular college on the date given on their NIMCET Seat Allotment Letter. An admission fee must be paid for the same. This is to be done offline. Follow the steps below to download the seat allotment letter from the official website.
- Step 1: Students must visit the official website of NIMCET 2024, and click on the Seat Allotment Letter link.
- Step 2: Candidates must log in to the portal using NIMCET registration credentials.

Note: Candidates who wish to participate in further rounds of NIMCET spot counselling must surrender their seats by reporting to the assigned centres. A seat surrender application letter must be submitted by the candidates to the centres.

Candidates need to pay INR 10,000 as an initial fee through NIMCET 2024 website and either of the above-mentioned options mandatorily then only their documents will be verified in the subsequent round of online document verification.
Step 4: Remote Reporting for NIMCET 2024 Admissions
Remote Reporting Centre refers to the NIT institution (near to the place of the candidate) which provides admission to the candidates in the MCA course. NIMCET 2024 Counselling Process Details
Candidates will be provided admission on the basis of their preferences cum merit list. Selected candidates have to report to the designated centres along with the required documents. Firstly, the candidates must register themselves to avail the services of the counselling sessions. The steps below are to be followed.
- Step 1: Candidates should log in to the link using their login ID and password. This can be done from any place according to the candidates' preferences.
- Step 2: Students should fill in their preferences before the deadline. This can be done through online mode only.
- Step 3: Seats will be allotted to the candidates based on their preferences and rank.
- Step 4: The choices once locked cannot be accessed and changed.

NIMCET Counselling 2024 Options
Candidates who have met NIMCET counselling criteria are eligible to follow either of the two options provided below by the admissions council of NIMCET 2024. The two options that will be provided to the candidates after seat allotment is discussed below.
- Option 1: Candidates can finalize the institution in which they want to join.
- Option 2: They can opt for other institutions in the second round of counselling.
After the choice filling is done by candidates, they will be assigned a seat based on their NIMCET 2024 rank and choices filled. After which, candidates have an option of accepting the seat allotted to them or waiting for the results of the next round of counselling.
A provisional admission letter will be provided to those candidates who accept the seat allotted to them. Whereas, an up-gradation letter will be provided to those candidates who are selecting the second option and will have to wait till the result of the next counselling round is declared.

For the process of verification before admission, candidates are required to produce the following supporting documents at the reporting centre for NIMCET 2024 counselling.
