PU LLB 2024 Examination Tie-Breaker Rule
If two or more candidates secure the same marks in the qualifying examination, then a tie-breaking scenario occurs, and it would be solved by considering the following criteria:
- If a candidate scores more marks in their qualifying examination i.e., in Bachelor's degree/Master's degree, they are ranked higher in the merit list.
- If the tie remains further even after following this condition, then it comes down to the marks scored in lower examinations like Class 10 or 10+2 education. The candidate with higher marks here would be ranked higher in the merit list.
- If the tie remains even after checking the previous criteria, then a higher rank in the merit list will be given to the older candidate.
PU LLB 2024 Entrance Examination Merit List

- Punjab University announces the merit list of PU LLB 2024 based on the marks they have scored.
- If the candidate has successfully managed to get 20% aggregate marks (15 out of 75) in the Law entrance examination then only they will be able to get the merit list.
- For the SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates, they have to score the minimum percentage of 15 (11.25 out of 75) to become eligible for the merit list.
- The weight of the exam is taken as follows, the candidate has to score 50 in the qualifying exam and an entrance exam.
