The candidates should be residents of Bihar. Students from class XI to the postgraduate degree can apply to the post-matric Bihar scholarships. The candidates should be studying in a recognised institution. They should have cleared the previous qualifying exams. The candidates should not be receiving benefits from any other scholarship. The family income of the SC and ST students should not exceed INR 2,50,000 per annum. The students' family income belonging to the BC/ EBC category should not be more than INR 1,50,000 per annum from all the sources.

Benefits of Post-Matric Bihar Scholarships 

The selected candidates from the SC, ST and BC/EBC categories will receive financial assistance under the post-matric Bihar scholarships. Given below are the details of the rewards:

The selected candidates will receive with following maintenance allowances every month: Hostellers - up to INR 1,600 Day scholars - up to INR 750 The government will grant up to INR 4,000 per annum towards disability allowance. They will also reimburse non-refundable fees of up to INR 1,50,000 per annum. However, the non-refundable fee will exclude refundable deposits such as caution money, security deposit, etc. Additionally, the students will receive INR 1,500 per annum.

Ministry of Labour Bihar Scholarships

The Ministry of Labour offers scholarship opportunities to students at the pre-matric and post-matric levels. Therefore, those from class I to postgraduate level can apply to the ministry of labour's pre and post-matric Bihar scholarships. 

Eligibility Criteria for Ministry of Labour Bihar Scholarships

The eligibility criteria for the pre and post-matric scholarships, run by the Ministry of Labour for the Bihar students, are as follows:

Ministry of Labour Pre-Matric Bihar Scholarship	The candidates should be in classes I to X and study under a recognised board. They should be kins of a beedi, cine, IOMC or LSDM worker.
Ministry of Labour Post-Matric Bihar Scholarship	Either one or both of the candidate's parents should work as a beedi, cine, Iron Ore Manganese & Chrome Ore Mines (IOMC), or Limestone & Dolomite Mines (LSDM) worker. The family income should not exceed INR 10,000 per month except for cine workers. The family income of the cine workers should not be more than INR 8,000 per month or INR 1,00,000 per annum. The candidates should be in class XI or above. They should have cleared the previous qualifying examination. Students should pursue general, technical or other professional courses like engineering, medical and agricultural studies. Those pursuing an ITI course can also apply to this Bihar scholarship scheme.

Benefits of Ministry of Labour Bihar Scholarship 2023-24

The selected students will receive up to INR 15,000. The details of the rewards are as follows:

Those pursuing a general degree will receive INR 3,000. However, the candidates pursuing professional degrees like BE/ BTech, BSc in Agriculture or MBBS will receive INR 15,000.

The Lok Kalyan Parishad and Mployd Edutech Private Limited provide the Bihar Talent Search Examination (BTSE). According to this Bihar scholarship scheme, the students studying between classes X to  XII should appear for the Bihar talent search examination.
