KC Mahindra scholarship offers interest-free loans to students who wish to pursue postgraduate studies overseas. The KC Mahindra Education Trust (KCMET) provides the KC Mahindra scholarship to motivate deserving students from financially weaker sections. 

The former scholars of the KC Mahindra scholarship are now conducting path-breaking research, teaching in elite institutions, leading and managing national and international banks, commercial and financial institutions, MNCs, healthcare sectors, legal services, etc. The organisers will announce the application commencement date through the leading newspapers. The tentative last date to apply for the Mahindra All India Talent Scholarship (MAITS) program was March 31, 2023.

• The candidates should be Indian citizens.
• They should have secured admission for a postgraduate course at an international university.
• The candidates should have an excellent academic record.
• They should have a first-class degree or an equivalent diploma.
• The candidates should have graduated from a recognised Indian university.
• The candidates who want to pursue undergraduate degrees or attend seminars and conferences overseas cannot apply to the KC Mahindra scholarship. 

KC Mahindra Scholarship Rewards

The selected candidates of the KC Mahindra scholarship programme will receive interest-free loans for their education. The trust awarded up to INR 2,36,00,000 to over 55 scholars in the previous academic year. The KC Mahindra scholarship benefits are:

• The top three candidates of the KC Mahindra scholarship will receive up to INR 8,00,000 per person.
• TThe KCMET will provide an interest-free loan of up to INR 4,00,000 for each scholar.
• The selected students can study in some elite institutions such as Harvard, Stanford, Columbia, Carnegie Mellon, Michigan, UC Berkeley, Georgia Tech, Pennsylvania, London Business School, LSE, Oxford, Cambridge, etc.

How to Apply for KC Mahindra Scholarship?

Interested candidates can apply for the scholarship through online and offline mode. However, they should submit the KC Mahindra scholarship form 2023 within the specified deadline to avoid rejection. Given below are the stepwise procedures to apply for the KC Mahindra scholarship online and offline.

Online Application

The candidates can apply to the KC Mahindra scholarship online through the official website. The process are as follows:

Step 1 - The candidates should visit the official KC Mahindra scholarship webpage.

Step 2 - Next, they should click on the 'what we do' tab on the KC Mahindra scholarship homepage.

Step 3 - Next, they should click on the 'click here to apply' button.

Step 4 - The candidates should upload their photograph in FirstName_LastName_Photograph format. For example, John_Doe_Photograph.

Step 5 - After uploading the photograph, they should fill in the KC Mahindra scholarship form 2023 with accurate details.

2. A recommendation letter

   • The candidates should name the file in the following format: John_Doe_LOR.
3. Statement of purpose

4. The candidates should prepare a short statement of purpose letter.
   • It should contain the following information:

5. Copy of IELTS or TOEFL scorecard (if applicable) in the following format: John_Doe_IELTS.
6. Copy of the candidate's GRE/GMAT scorecard (if applicable) in the following format: John_Doe_GRE.
7. Course certificate, degree certificate and mark sheets in the following format: John_Doe_Marksheets
8. Candidate's rank certificate (if applicable) and send the file and name it John_Doe_RankCertificate.
9. Copy of candidate's class X and class XII mark sheets and school leaving certificates and upload the document and name the file as John_Doe_SchoolMarksheets.
10. A self-attested copy of their age proof and the candidates should name the file as John_Doe_Age.
11. An updated and detailed CV in the following format: John_Doe_CV.

KC Mahindra Scholarship Selection Criteria

The selected candidates of the KC Mahindra education trust scholarship increase each year. The committee selects the candidates based on various criteria, and they are:

• The selection committee chooses candidates based on their academic merit, financial situation and ambitions. 
• They will shortlist the candidate based on their KC Mahindra education trust scholarship form and written purpose statement.
• The committee will prefer candidates who want to pursue a course in areas that will directly relate to India's development.
• The committee will also prefer the students pursuing biogas technology for rural areas, oceanography, seabed mining, fisheries, survey & prospecting of mineral resources in the country, alternate energy sources such as solar, wind, and tidal energy, agricultural research and engineering, transportation economics, off-shore drilling, and exploration of other oceanic products.
• The shortlisted candidates should attend a KC Mahindra education trust scholarship interview.

Terms and Conditions

The decisions of the KC Mahindra scholarship trustees are final and binding. The important terms and conditions of the KC Mahindra scholarship are as follows:

• The duration of the KC Mahindra scholarship is for two years. 
• The selected candidates will receive an interest-free loan.
• The postgraduate degree should be a two-year course. However, candidates enrolling in courses for more than two years should seek approval from the KC Mahindra scholarship trustee in advance.
• The candidates should provide a guarantor for the KC Mahindra scholarship loan.
• The applicants should repay the KC Mahindra scholarship loan amount within 24 months of completing the course (OR) within 48 months of receiving the KC Mahindra scholarship (whichever is earlier). 
• The scholars are free to work at any institution or firm of their choice. 
• The KC Mahindra scholarship trustee is not obligated to employ the scholars after the completion of their course.
• The candidates should sign an agreement with the terms and conditions.
• The candidates should commence their studies on the fixed date and at institutions agreed by the KC Mahindra scholarship trustees.
• The candidates cannot alter the course or training under any circumstances without prior approval from the KC Mahindra scholarship trustees.
• The trustees will discontinue or decrease the KC Mahindra scholarship amount if they receive benefits from other scholarships.
• The candidates should submit an acknowledgement stating the payments to be made by them or on their behalf to the KC Mahindra scholarship trustees.
• The candidates should immediately pay back the loan amount if the KC Mahindra scholarship gets forfeited or change their nationality or acquire foreign citizenship.
• The trustees will deprive the candidates of KC Mahindra scholarship benefits if they get involved in any serious misconduct or fail to maintain a reasonable proficiency, or fail to pursue their studies or training.
