The Vedantu scholarship is awarded to students based on their rank in the Vedantu Scholarship Admission Test (VSAT). Students of grades 6-13 can avail up to 100% scholarship based on their VSAT rank. The Vedantu Scholarship Admission Test (VSAT) examination was held on July 8, 2023, and the VSAT 2023 results were declared on July 10, 2023.

VSAT Eligibility Criteria
The main eligibility criteria for the Vedantu scholarship is to pass the Vedantu Scholarship test. The other basic criteria to avail the scholarship are listed below:
- Candidate should be from grade 6-13 studying in a school affiliated with any state, central or international board.
- Droppers after 12th grade are also eligible to apply.
VSAT Rewards
All the candidates applying for the Vedantu scholarship will get upto 100% based on their rank in the VSAT. The VSAT ranks are generated for each grade and target separately. The other benefits offered by the scholarship are:
- VSAT registration process is completely free.
- All the VSAT attendees will get a 90% discount coupon to be applied for any Micro-course. The list of Micro-courses available is listed in Micro Courses.

Important Points
- All participants get free mentorship from Vedantu's Expert Counsellors.
- Scholarship should be applied to the actual price of the Course and not on the Offer/ Early bird/ Discounted price.
- Scholarship cannot be applied on 1-on-1 Live Teaching courses.
- For all the existing Vedantu students, the scholarship cannot be applied to the current course. It has to be applied to a new full-time course for JEE, NEET, CBSE, and ICSE.
- Students who have already availed the scholarship discount on any course once can attempt the VSAT again but are not eligible to get the scholarship.
Vedantu Scholarship Test Registration
Registration for the VSAT is done online. The step by step process is given below:
- Application for the Vedantu Scholarship Test is done online through the Vedantu official website.
- Click on the “register for free” button on the home page.
- Fill in all the personal and educational details in the registration form and click “Submit”.
- Next fill in the email id and password and click “Log In” button.
- Fill in all the remaining details to complete the registration process.
Vedantu Scholarship Test Pattern
Different grade students will have different schemes for test papers. The detailed exam pattern is explained below.
Category 1- For students moving from grade 6-7, 7-8, and 8-9
- Applicants are assessed based on the Mental Aptitude Test (MAT).
- There are a total of 50 objective questions with 4 options (one of which is correct).
- Every correct answer is granted +4 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.
- The maximum duration of the exam is 1 hour.
Category 2- For students moving from grade 9-10, and 10-11
- Candidates are assessed based on the Mental Aptitude Test (MAT).
- There are a total of 50 objective questions with 4 options (one of which is correct).
- Every correct answer is granted +4 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.
- The maximum duration of the exam is 1 hour.
Category 3- For JEE aspirants moving from grade 11-12
- Candidates are accessed based on 2 sections- Mental Aptitude Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
- There are a total of 50 questions (25 questions from each section).
- All the questions are objective with 4 options (one of which is correct).
- Every correct answer is granted +4 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.
- The maximum duration of the exam is 1 hour.
Category 4- For NEET aspirants moving from grade 11-12
- Candidates are accessed based on 2 sections- Mental Aptitude Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
- There are a total of 50 questions (25 questions from each section).
- All the questions are objective with 4 options (one of which is correct).
- Every correct answer is granted +4 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.
- The maximum duration of the exam is 1 hour.
Category 5- For JEE aspirants appearing for grade 12 exams
- Candidates are assessed based on 3 sections- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- There are a total of 30 questions (10 questions from each section).
- All the questions are objective with 4 options (one of which is correct).
- Every correct answer is granted +4 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.
- The maximum duration of the exam is 1 hour.
Category 6- For NEET aspirants appearing for grade 12 exams
- Candidates are assessed based on 3 sections- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- There are a total of 60 questions.
- 15 questions each from Physics and Chemistry and 30 questions from Biology.
- All the questions are objective with 4 options (one of which is correct).
- Every correct answer is granted +4 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.
- The maximum duration of the exam is 1 hour.
Category 7- JEE Droppers
- Candidates are assessed based on 3 sections- Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- There are a total of 30 questions (10 questions from each section).
- All the questions are objective with 4 options (one of which is correct).
- Every correct answer is granted +4 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.
- The maximum duration of the exam is 1 hour.
Category 8- NEET Droppers
- Candidates are assessed based on 3 sections- Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
- There are a total of 60 questions.
- 15 questions each from Physics and Chemistry and 30 questions from Biology.
- All the questions are objective with 4 options (one of which is correct).
- Every correct answer is granted +4 marks and for every wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted.
- The maximum duration of the exam is 1 hour.
VSAT Syllabus
Candidates of different grades appearing for the VSAT are assessed by different test paper schemes. The syllabus of the VSAT is listed below.
Category 1- For students moving from grade 6-7, 7-8, and 8-9
- 50 questions in Mental Ability Test based on Mental ability, Logical reasoning, and Data interpretation.
Category 2- For students moving from grade 9-10, and 10-11
- 50 questions in Mental Ability Test (MAT) based on Mental ability, Logical reasoning, and Data interpretation.
Category 3- For JEE aspirants moving from grade 11-12
- 25 questions in Mental Ability Test (MAT) based on Mental ability, Logical reasoning, and Data interpretation.
- 25 questions in Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) based on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics syllabus of Grade 10.
Category 4- For NEET aspirants moving from grade 11-12
- 25 questions in Mental Ability Test (MAT) based on Mental ability, Logical reasoning, and Data interpretation.
- 25 questions in Scholastic Ability Test (SAT) based on Physics, Chemistry, and Biology syllabus of grade 10.
Category 5- For JEE aspirants appearing for grade 12 exams
- 10 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics syllabus of Grade 11.
Category 6- For NEET aspirants appearing for grade 12 exams
- 15 questions each from Physics and Chemistry syllabus of Grade 11.
- 30 questions from the Biology syllabus of Grade 11.
Category 7- JEE Droppers
- 10 questions each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics syllabus of Grade 11 and 12.
Category 8 - NEET Droppers
- 15 questions each from Physics and Chemistry syllabus of Grade 11 and 12.
- 30 questions from the Biology syllabus of Grade 11 and 12.
VSAT Examination Guidelines
Vedantu scholarship test is completely online. Few other guidelines to be followed are mentioned below:
- VSAT can be attempted from any part of the world and on any device.
- The candidate has to login to the VSAT website using his/ her login credentials that were created at the time of registration.
- The duration of the test is 1 hour.
- A maximum delay of 30 minutes is allowed to start the test, after which the candidate will not be allowed to take the test.
- If the test ends abruptly without clicking on the “End Test” button due to power or network issues, the candidate can re-login to the VSAT website by entering the VSAT login credentials.
- The test can be taken only from one device. Attempts made to take the test on multiple devices will lead to the test to end.
- Any malpractices by switching to new tabs or opening other applications are not allowed during the duration of the test. Any attempts to do so will result in the test to end.
Do’s and Dont's while attempting VSAT on Laptop or Desktop
- Exiting the Full-Screen mode during the duration of the test will result in the test to end.
- Clicking the ESC button during the test will end the test.
- Switching tabs (alt+tab) or applications during the test is strictly not allowed. This will end the test.
- Changing the device or browser during the test will result in the test being suspended.
- Candidates are advised to check the power backup and internet connectivity of the device before the test starts.
- During the duration of the test, all actions of the candidate are tracked.
- The candidate is advised to not click any pop-up or notification displayed on the system, browser or any other application.
Do’s and Dont's while attempting VSAT on Mobile or Tablet
- Clicking on the HOME/ BACK/ ESC button will lead to the test being suspended.
- Switching applications during the test will lead to the test to end.
- Candidates are advised to ensure enough device memory, battery charge, and good internet connection before the test starts.
- Changing the device or browser during the test will result in the test being suspended.
- During the duration of the test, all actions of the candidate are tracked.
- The candidate is advised to not click any pop-up or notification displayed on the mobile or any other application like Whatsapp, Facebook, etc.
Vedantu Scholarship Results
- The VSAT results are sent to the candidates online through Email and SMS.
- Students can avail the scholarship using the coupon codes sent along with the VSAT results.
