DU Grading System 2024: The DU grading system 2024 and DU passing marks have undergone several changes. As per the new grading system in the DU scheme, the distribution of weightage on end-semester examinations will be lower than the internal assessment, which is 56% and 90 out of 160 marks, making it 45:55 in terms of ratio.
Officials remarked that the changes had been brought in after implementing the new framework under NEP 2020.
DU Grading System 2024
The varsity’s latest amendment states that they will follow the CBCS grading system DU instead of percentage. The DU grading system 2024 will translate the percentage secured by the candidates in the exams into a grade point system.
Students will be graded from 0 to 10 and awarded letter grades. Candidates can check the table below to understand the DU grade point structure.
Percentage of Marks | Grade | Numerical Points |
Marks >=80 and Marks <=100 | O | 10 |
Marks >=70 and Marks <=80 | A+ | 9 |
Marks >=60 and Marks <=70 | A | 8 |
Marks >=55 and Marks <=60 | B+ | 7 |
Marks >=50 and Marks <=55 | B | 6 |
Marks >=45 and Marks <=50 | C | 5 |
Marks >=40 and Marks <=45 | D | 4 |
Marks <40 | F | 0 |
