Last Minute Tips for IIFT 2023
It is common for IIFT aspirants to get anxious due to exam day pressure. However, they should not let it overpower their IIFT preparation. They must reach the test center on time & carry all the important items & documents. Following are some of the last-minute tips for IIFT 2023.
1. Reach the Test Centre on Time
Every minute is crucial when appearing for any entrance exam like IIFT. Once the authorities close the entry gate, no candidate will be allowed to enter the exam hall. The consistent hard work of aspirants will go in vain if they miss out on giving the exam itself. Hence, punctuality on exam day is crucial to avoid any last-minute hassles.
2. Carry Required Documents and Complete Formalities
Make sure to carry all the necessary documents to the IIFT test center. Moreover, don’t rush to the exam center at the last minute. Keep enough time to complete all the formalities before taking the exam. Only candidates with valid ID proof and required documents/items will be allowed to take the IIFT 2023 exam.
3. Attempt Easy Questions First
One of the valuable last-minute tips for IIFT is to solve easy questions at the beginning of the exam. Students tend to spend more time on tricky questions thinking that they can complete the simple questions at last. However, they may not get enough time to attempt the easy questions at the last minute.
4. Time Management is the Key
One should effectively manage their time while appearing for the IIFT 2023 exam. Considering the negative marking aspect of IIFT, one cannot make random guesses. Therefore, answer the questions only if you are very sure about the answer.
A high percentage of accuracy is essential to crack IIFT. If you are doubtful about the answer options, skip the question and move on to the next.
5. No Sectional Time-Limit
Since the IIFT exam does not have a sectional time limit, students are likely to get stuck in one section for a longer time. Therefore, they must strategize for IIFT in a way such that they focus equally on all the sections. Remember that it is essential to attempt a good number of questions in each section to clear sectional cutoffs in IIFT.
6. Read between the Lines
Test-takers must be careful while reading the questions. Sometimes candidates tend to lose marks while reading questions in a hurry. When one word is misread or misunderstood, the whole meaning of the question can change. Therefore, experts suggest that the candidates read between the lines to understand the context of the question.
7. Avoid Spending a Long Time on One Question
On the day of the IIFT exam, candidates should try skipping the question which seems challenging to solve. It can be a trap and lead to total wastage of time. Therefore, if they are not able to solve a particular question within 2 to 3 minutes, then it is advisable to leave the question. This trick will be very beneficial for the quantitative aptitude section.
8. Relax
Finally, just relax and stay confident about your IIFT preparation. During the last minute, do not worry about any new topic as it will only lead to confusion. Instead, just approach the exam with a positive attitude and stress-free mind. Wishing you all the very best!
