But it was replaced by NEET 2016 due to such discrepancies. Many candidates could not appear/register in the NEET 2016 Phase 1 exam, also known as AIPMT 2016. And due to a shortage of registered candidates, Phase 2 was conducted on 24 July 2016, and many candidates appeared in the NEET 2016 exam.
