Prohibited Items under NEET Dress Code 2024
NTA lists out the guidelines for the dress code for the NEET 2024 examination based on several items that are barred from being used in the examination hall. They are:-
- Any item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen Drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
- Any communication device like Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band, etc.
- Other items like Wallet, Goggles, Handbags, Belt, Cap, etc.
- Any Watch/Wristwatch, Bracelet, Camera, etc.
- Any ornaments/metallic items.
- Any food items opened or packed, water bottle, etc.
- Any other item which could be used for unfair means, by hiding communication devices like a microchip, camera, Bluetooth device, etc.
Note: Candidates carrying any of these items will not be facilitated with the option to keep it safe.

- Face mask

- ID Proof (With photo) - Aadhar card, ration card, PAN card, passport, License, or another government-authorized document.
NEET 2024 Exam Day Guidelines
Students need to maintain and follow certain guidelines for NEET 2024 apart from all the information regarding NEET dress codes and prohibited items mentioned above. We will take a quick look into those guidelines in the below points:
- Time will be announced by the invigilator at the beginning, at the middle, and at the end of the examination.
- The answer sheet needs to be signed by the candidate at the beginning of the exam as well as at the end of the exam.
- A ballpoint pen will be provided to every student by the centre.
- Candidates can break the seal of the question booklet five minutes prior to the exam to check any discrepancies within the booklet. Candidates must ensure that the test booklet contains the same number of pages as mentioned on the cover of the test booklet.
- Fill in all the details on both sides of the OMR answer sheet mandatorily.
- You need to ensure that the code written on the test booklet is similar to the one provided on the answer sheet enclosed in the test booklet.
- You have to bring (1) NEET 2024 Admit Card (2) A photo-id proof( government authorized) (3) A passport size photo (same as the application form) (4) A PwD certificate for those who are eligible, in the examination hall.
- The examination centre may have someplace to store all the extra belongings or may not have. Safeguarding those items is your own responsibility.
- Candidates will not be allowed to leave the exam centre before the exam concludes. OMR sheet has to be handed over to the invigilator before leaving the exam hall.
