NTA UGC NET 2024
NTA UGC NET is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) to test the eligibility of candidates for only Assistant Professor or both Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor posts in Indian universities and colleges. NTA UGC NET exam is conducted for 83 subjects.
The eligibility criteria for JRF and Assistant Professorship are different. For JRF, candidate must be below the age of 30, whereas for Assistant Professorship, there is no upper age limit. The educational qualification requirement for both of the option is to have 55 % marks in master’s degree exams for the choice of subject.

GATE Exam
GATE or Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is national-level entrance examination for admission to MTech or PhD programs at IITs for a total of 30 subjects. In the year of 2021, GATE Humanities and Social Sciences subject was introduced.
