TNAU Counselling Dates 2024: The counselling of TNAU for UG course conducted on Jun 19, 2024 & Jun 20, 2024 and notification of selection list for PG and doctoral courses will be released on Aug 30, 2024.
The publication of rank lists for UG course was out on Jun 18, 2024 and certificate submission and college/course confirmation must be done on or by Jun 28, 2024 to July 6, 2024.
Tamil Nadu Agricultural University admits students based on both merit and entrance tests. Candidates seeking admission to UG courses in Tamil Nadu must apply for TNAU counselling 2024 through the official website of TNAU.
Other states need candidates to take an ICAR-conducted admission exam. Students are shortlisted for postgraduate courses based on their GAT-B and TNAU PG entrance exam scores.
TNAU Online Counselling and Admission Dates
TNAU had its genesis from the establishment of an Agriculture School in Tamil Nadu. The university has 15 Constituent Colleges and 29 Affiliated colleges. TNAU Online Counselling
The candidates can choose the degree and college based on their rank during online counselling, as per the procedure given by the TNAU. The online counselling system is followed for all the degree programs that the University provides. After the release of the rank list, the candidates shortlisted will be informed through the mail or message.
The ratio that is generally followed is 'number of vacant seats': 'number of candidates shortlisted for counselling" that is normally distributed as 1:5. However, the candidates should know that the calling for online counselling doesn't always mean a guarantee of a seat.
The candidates next are required to pay a non-refundable counselling fee online. It is important to pay the fees to be a part of online counselling.
After the online payment of counselling, the candidates are eligible for the online counselling on the specified dates. During the online counselling, the candidates are permitted to change the order of preference for degree and college only once.
On the expiry of the online counselling date of the respective counselling phase, the degree and college allotment will be done based on the choice exercised by the candidates, merit, and communal reservation.
The same is informed to the candidates with also detailed information regarding the further process and steps. After the online counselling, candidates are called for the verification of documents and certificates. The candidates must submit the original documents after verification to confirm their seats allotted to them.
- Sliding System
The candidates registered and paid the counselling fee for the online counselling but did not get any seat allotment and will be considered for the subsequent sliding process if any seat vacancy arises.
- In-person Counselling
Separate in-person counselling will be conducted at TNAU Coimbatore for special reservations such as differently-abled, Eminent sportspersons, Ex-Servicemen, descendants of freedom fighters, NRI, and Industrial sponsorship quota for the vocational stream.

TNAU Counselling Fees
To participate in online counselling, a cost of Rs. 3000/- (Rs. 1500/- for SC/SCA/ST) must be paid. Candidates can change their options once during online counselling.

- Admission Fees
After the allotment of seats, the candidate will have to pay a Rupees 20,000 non-refundable admission fee.
- Application Fee
After completing filling in the application form, the candidates are required to pay the online payment using the e-payment link provided in the application. The application fee for general category students is INR 1000 (INR 500 for SC/ST) for each subject.

TNAU Application Process
TNAU has made a systematic format for the counselling process, making it easy for the candidates to navigate the website and do the required information fulfilment. Application to TNAU is mandatory for all candidates applying for TNAU counselling and applying for the Management quota in private agriculture/ Horticulture colleges affiliated to TNAU.
- The candidates must visit the TNAU official website to begin the online registration process, where the candidate can choose the undergraduate level as per the education they are seeking to pursue.
- The candidates should click on the registration link and fill in the required information asked for.
- Once the candidates complete the registration form, they will receive the user id and password in the number and mail-id provided, which is useful to fill in the application form.
- Then the candidates are required to fill in the application form with all the details and information that is asked in the application form correctly. The candidates are also required to enter the degree course and college preferences in one of the steps in the same.

TNAU Admission Documents Required
The candidates are required to have all the important documents and certificates for admission into the TNAU. The candidates are required to produce the documents to the allotted colleges for verification purposes.
- The candidates must have an original mark sheet and certificates of 10th and 12th class or equivalent.
- The candidates must also have a valid age proof document that is government-issued.
- The candidates must collect the transfer certificate, migration certificate, and character certificate from the previous institution studied.
- The candidates must also be able to produce the caste/ community certificate, if applicable.
- The candidate must also have their recent passport size photographs.
