Indraprastha University Seat Allotment Process

IPU CET 2023 Seat Allotment Process involves three steps for the candidates:

Payment of Part Academic Fee

• After seat allotment, candidates need to pay a portion of the academic fee to secure their admission. 
• The fee can be paid online through net banking/credit card/debit card or offline via bank challan at an Indian Bank branch. 
• Once the payment is made, candidates should print the admission fee receipt for future reference. 
• If the payment is made through a bank challan, the printout can be taken after two days.

Freezing of Seats

• If candidates receive seat allotment in their preferred college, they have the option to freeze their seats. 
• Freezing the seat indicates their intention to accept the allotted seat and withdraw from further rounds of counselling.

Withdrawal & Fee Refund

• Candidates who have paid the part academic fee but decide to withdraw their admission from the allotted seat can do so by logging into their account. 
• By withdrawing, they will not participate in subsequent counselling rounds but can still be eligible for the spot round of seat allotment in IPU CET 2023.

Indraprastha University Seat Allotment Round

The seat allotment process in IPU consists of different rounds, and the rules may vary in the final round and special rounds. In the last round, candidates cannot withdraw from their allotted seat, and no fee refund is allowed. The reserved category seats are converted to the unreserved category after the allotment for reserved categories is completed.

Sliding Round: Candidates who have paid the academic fee but have not frozen or withdrawn their seats are eligible. The sliding round is based on merit and candidate preferences.

Spot Round: This is conducted if there are vacant seats after the entire admission process. It is conducted offline, and interested candidates need to pay an additional fee. Candidates who haven't withdrawn or been admitted in previous rounds are also eligible. No withdrawal or fee refund is permitted in the spot round.

Indraprastha University Counselling 2023

The counselling procedure for IPU 2023 consists of the registration, choice filling, and seat allotment:

Step 1: Registration

• Candidates need to register for the counselling process by paying a counselling fee of INR 1000. 
• Payment can be made online or through a bank challan. After successful payment, candidates log in and provide their roll number, date of birth, name, and result status. 
• They then upload their academic, personal, and contact information and receive a unique login ID and password.

Step 2: Choice Filling

• Candidates log in using their credentials and enter their preferred choices of colleges and courses. 
• It is advised to enter a maximum number of choices to increase the chances of getting admission. 
• Candidates should keep a printout of their selected choices for future reference.

Step 3: Seat Allotment

• Seats are allotted based on the candidate's rank, category, region, and preference of seats/colleges. 
• The allotment status can be checked on the official website. Candidates who are allotted seats must pay the part academic fee. 
• The choices made during registration are considered during the allotment process.
