IPU Placements 2024: Highest & Average Salary Package, Top Companies

IPU placement 2024 data will be published soon. As per the IPU placement 2023 data, a total of 350 students were placed during the B.Tech and MBA placements combined. The median package offered during the IPU B.Tech placements was INR 8.15 LPA and, INR 6.18 LPA for the MBA course.

According to the previously available IPU placement data, in the USCIT placements 2022, the highest package stood at INR 45 LPA and the average package stood at INR 12 LPA.

IPU Placement Highlights 2024

GGSIPU placement opportunities for the students as per the required qualification. It also helps students in obtaining internships. The main vision of the GGSIPU is to become an internationally recognized authority to provide the best education and career opportunities to students in each field. The table given below are the highlights of the data based on 2023 placements.

IPU Top Recruiters

As a top university in Delhi, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University holds many top companies, which provides a great recruitment source. The below-mentioned table shows the list of top recruiters.

IPU Placement Cell

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University facilitates placement in each section. Overall 949 students graduated from GGSIPU in 2021, 500 were placed, whereas about 186 students opted out to pursue higher studies. The University has a placement team responsible for the success of the campus placement drive. They do all the work of bringing companies to the campus for recruitment.

IPU Placement Statistics

IPU placement statistics for 2024 will be published soon. As per the data published so far:

• Red Hat recruited one LLM student from the University School of Law & Legal Studies.
• Aon Consulting Pvt. Ltd recruited four students from the BBA course.
• Federal Bank Ltd recruited 29 students from the B.Tech, BBA, BCA, BCom, and BA courses in different roles.

IPU Placement: Comparison of Total Students Placed

As per the previously available IPU placement data, the total students placed has increased every year. As per the IPU NIRF Report 2024, the total students placed in B.Tech course were 190, 160 students in the MBA course, and 77 students in the BA LLB/BBA LLB course. 

The IPU course-wise placement statistics depicting the change in the trends for the past three years are given below:

B.Tech Course

Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University placement statistics show that, there has been a significant decline in the number of students eligible for placements, from 2022 to 2023, however, the maximum number of students were placed in 2023 itself.

MBA Course

For the MBA course, the IPU placement statistics show that there has been a gradual increase in the total students eligible for placements and the total number of students placed each year. The highest placement percentage, 91.4% was recorded in 2023, followed by 90.8% in 2022.

BA LLB/ BBA LLB Course 

Under the BA LLB/BBA LLB course, the IPU placement statistics show that there has been a constant increase in the eligible students and the finally recruited students each year. In 2021, the placement percentage was 59.1%, 61.61% in 2022, and 77% in 2023. The data is tabulated below:

IPU Placement: Comparison of Median Package

The following graph compares the IPU median packages offered to the students in the past three years. 

UG Courses

The IPU course-wise data for the undergraduate courses clearly indicates the gradual increase in the median package offered to the B.Tech, BArch, and BA LLB / BBA LLB students. In the past three years, there has been an increase of 16.43% in the median package of the B.Tech course. For the BArch course it was 14.66% and for the BA LLB/BBA LLB course it grew by 23.8%.

PG Courses

For the postgraduate course, the median packages have increased over the past years. For the M.Tech course, the median package has increased from INR 4.88 LPA in 2021 to INR 7.7 LPA in 2023. This is a remarkable 57.79% increase in three years. Similarly for the MBA course, there has been an 18.84% increase and lastly. for the LLM course, there has been a 28.75% increase in the median package.

IPU Placement Process

The IPU placement process is a five-step process that ensures a smooth flow of events and a productive experience for the students as well as the recruiters. The placement procedure is aimed at providing a transparent system to conduct fair recruitment across all departments. The five steps involved in the IPU placement process are given below:

1. Invitation- IPU sends out invitations to the prospective recruiters, informing them regarding the courses, specializations, student's achievements, and an overview of the university to attract good job opportunities.

2. Slot Allocation- Once the recruiters are finalized, the IPU placement cell rolls out a schedule with dates and time slots for conducting the recruitment procedure.

3. Pre-Placement Talk- The companies brief the students regarding the company and the roles being offered to the students in the current placement season.

4. Selection Process- This step involves the aptitude test, personal interview, and the HR round.

5. Result Declaration- The final step in the recruitment drive that involves publishing the final lists of students who were recruited during the placement season.
