Eligibility Criteria for Malda College Admission

Malda College UG Admission 2023
Admission to the undergraduate programs at Malda College is based on the marks obtained in the 10+2 level examination.
- For B.A, applicants have the option to choose from 11 different specializations for both General and Honors courses. For B.Sc, there are seven different specializations available for Honors and General courses.
- Students interested in B.Com. Honors can select Accounting as their major subject. Additionally, the college offers a self-financed section with a three-year bachelor's degree program in BCA.
- Candidates applying for Honors courses must have at least 45% aggregate marks or 40% aggregate marks with 50% in English. SC/ST applicants are eligible for a 5% relaxation in the eligibility criteria.
Malda College PG Admission 2023
Malda College offers post-graduation courses in English, History, and Bengali at the Master's degree level.
- Candidates who have completed their education from a recognized board or university with a 10+2+3 system or its equivalent are eligible to apply. A total of 195 seats are available.
- The application process for these courses takes place both online and offline, starting in July each year, with admissions being finalized by September. The admission process is as follows:
- 60% of the seats in each of the three subjects are reserved for students from colleges affiliated with Gour Banga University. Admission in this quota is based on the marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
- The remaining 40% of seats are filled through the Open Admission Test.
- Applicants who have completed their Honors graduation between 2013 to 2015 can also apply, but 5% per year will be deducted from their aggregate marks for eligibility.
- Seat reservations include 22% for SC category, 6% for ST, 3% for Category A and B of OBC, and 3% for physically handicapped/challenged candidates.
