What is Special OJEE?
The special OJEE exam is also called OJEE Phase 2 or Second OJEE. The State Government of Odisha has this special system for candidates who cannot attend the main OJEE Phase 1 examination.
The registration process for Special OJEE takes place after the OJEE Phase 1 counselling has been completed successfully. The remaining vacant seats in colleges accepting OJEE scores get available for Special OJEE applicants.
Courses offered through Special OJEE are Lateral Entry B.Tech, B.Pharma, B.Tech, MBA, MCA and Lateral Entry MCA. The seat allotment will depend on the college's vacant seats for the mentioned special OJEE courses.

Steps to Fill the Application Form for Special OJEE
Registrations for special OJEE are similar to OJEE Phase 1 examination, but the time period for the application to be opened is short. A fresh candidate registration is required for the Special OJEE examination. The steps to fill out the application form for Special OJEE are mentioned below-
- Step 1: The candidates are required to visit the official website of ojee at https://ojee.nic.in/.
- Step 2: On the website's home page, candidates will be able to see the notification for Special OJEE or 2nd OJEE as "Application for Special OJEE 2024."
- Step 3: Candidates are required to click on the notification and enter the signup details to start the application process.
- Step 4: After signing up, candidates must save their passwords for future reference.
- Step 5: A login through the same page is required; candidates can fill in all their details after logging in.
- Step 6: Candidates are advised to fill in all the details carefully, and proceeding forward; candidates must cross-check all their filled-in information.
- Step 7: Candidates will be required to make the payment for the Special OJEE application.
- Step 8: After successful completion, candidates must save their application and take printouts of the form for future use, as it will be necessary for the Special OJEE counselling process.
Special OJEE Eligibility Criteria
No special eligibility criteria are made for the Special OJEE Examination; however, candidates who have already appeared are not eligible to attempt the Special OJEE examination.
- Only Odisha domicile candidates are eligible for the Special OJEE examination.
- Candidates must not have appeared for the OJEE Phase 1 exam for the same year.
- The candidate's nationality should be Indian.
- Candidates must have passed their 12th Class examination.
- There is no upper age limit for OJEE candidates; however, for the course B. Tech Marine Engineering, can candidates cannot be above 22 years old.
- Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects to have in 12th Class along with one Language subject.
- A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in the 12th Class is required for the candidates to be eligible for the Special OJEE/OJEE examination.

The special OJEE exam pattern has a total of 120 multiple-choice questions; the examination is conducted online. There are a total of four sections in the Special OJEE exam pattern.
